3am.
Baby daughter beside me sleeping, as wife is pregnant.
Cant go anywhere.

Trust me, if I could, Id be out there, heading towards the forth road bridge with my camera.

again.

This did not burn up..
and it speed behind a hill, towards the outskirts of the city, going below my standing level.

FACT.

Damn, I wish I could go out in the car, or have more.

I feel like I shouldnt have started this, As I feel (Aside from other confirmation) this wont go anywhere.

Least I have confirmation.

Show doesn't come on for another 2 hours and 40 minutes. And you can listen here: www.610cktb.com...

If you visit that link now, you'll be listening to a previous show, usually last nights show.

When an object travels faster than the speed of sound in Earth's atmosphere, a shock wave can be created that can be heard as a sonic boom. Large meteors frequently produce sonic booms which can be heard before they are slowed to below the speed of sound by Earth's atmosphere.

coolcosmos.ipac.caltech.edu...

What you might have heard my friend was a sonic boom coming from a metoerite racing towards earth faster than the speed of light.

Keep us updated.

Edit to add: Sorry it's a kids website, it should still be useful though.

Shauny, I definitely saw it burn up,theres no doubt about it. I`m positive it was the same one you saw because of where you said it was heading.

Now, Lasswade is south(ish) of where you are, so I`m thinking I saw it higher in the sky than you. I think maybe the pentlands blocked your view of it burning out, and the reason I saw it burning out is because of how far away from the pentlands I am? Just thinking about perspective and all that.

If you say it didnt burn out, I`m assuming you actually saw it touch down? Or.....and this is freaky, we saw two seperate meteors heading in the same direction and both of considerable size. Which would be strange. Although perhaps a larger meteor broke into two pieces, the largest piece I missed and you witnessed, the smaller piece, I saw and it burnt out before it reached your locality??

Just hypothesising.
