New Proof Unknown "Structures" Tug at Our Universe (multiverse universe)

news.nationalgeographic.com

"Dark flow" is no fluke, suggests a new study that strengthens the case for unknown, unseen "structures" lurking on the outskirts of creation.

In 2008 scientists reported the discovery of hundreds of galaxy clusters streaming in the same direction at more than 2.2 million miles (3.6 million kilometers) an hour.

This mysterious motion can't be explained by current models for distribution of mass in the universe. So the researchers made the controversial suggestion that the clusters are being tugged on by the gravity of matter outside the known universe.

Now the same team has found

This is truly mind blogging!

So if I'm understanding this correctly there something lurking outside our own universe that did not come from the Big Bang itself. A multi-verse for lack of a better word.

Space is truly mind blowing. No words can possibly describe what lies beyond our blue little planet we call home!

Nice story,

Personally i wouldnt want to know what
it is!!! Too much knowledge can be real detrimental for me, anyhow.

Good post

Sounds like Yog-Sothoth, also known as the Lurker at the Threshold and as عمر الطويل

Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth's fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.

It seems to me there may be some truth to a theory I have read that indicates that our universe and it’s near countless billions of included galaxies are just part of an infinite number of neighbouring universes with their near countless billions of galaxies, a fractalised (sic?) universe of endless possibilities and infinite pathways - add infinitum.

Would it not be incredible if one day a scientist could prove that we are a infinitesimal part of one universe among countless others that make up the structures of say someone’s eye (or neural network) just as a late night example?

Perhaps we are a figment of imagination and we are in a matrix of someone else's making after all?

I know not likely but I like to run with it – Shudder.

I've always thought of the universe as a bigger model of the existing world we can see... IE :

atom nucleus = sun
Electron = planets
1 Mole/element = solar system
matter = galaxy
etc... etc... etc...

In my opinion, we are mere "atoms" in a gigantic place of never ending cyclic solar system/atom model-like world... I hope it makes sense... lol...

scientist are coming up with more and more ridiculous claims just to see how dumb we really are.

Holy cow, in the last thread on this I suggested it was Azathoth! This doesn't seem like the sort of thing ol' Yoggy, in his normal state, would be able to do; Yoggy is more extra-dimensional than anything. He doesn't normally manifest, unless he's opening the gate.

Anyway, more relevantly; "outside the known universe" does not actually suggest "other universes." It could allow for "other universes," but with (pretty much) all relevant definitions of "universe," whatever this is, it's probably going to be a part of our universe. That is, "universe" denotes everything within our realm of being.

Anyway, considering the "known" universe part, even granting weird multiverse physics -- it's much more likely just something we dont' have the tech to look at yet.

Everything isn't the same in the universe. Their 'models' are wrong.
Could be a massive black hole. Could be UNICRON!

We know very little of the universe we live in. Physics as is currently known is rather in adequate, as I realised I am about to invoke infinities in my own invention project. i may well be towards reaching the very edge of our reality. So am now proceeding with extreme caution

Cheers

Argh', the universe is too big and confusing for dull people like myself

Just think of the things we haven't found ( actually don't, my head will HONESTLY explode
) ; i can't wait for the day we see huge cookies floating around in space xD

S&F Great catch,

Sorry - can't help it - brings to mind the infinity and yin/yang symbols. ...Yin/yang being another representation of the figure 8 infinity symbol, designed to accommodate the I Ching binary-based numerical symbols (trigrams, hexagrams) to illustrate "orbital paths," and a calendar of earthly, solar and galactic seasons.

I Ching

Most ancient calendars accommodate the conceptual notion of "our" universe cycling or orbiting into an alternate one. I suspect they knew exactly what they were talking about.

Notes on interpreting the I Ching as 'calendar' here: Decoding the "I Ching"

Also note: RE: Mayan calendar and 2012. All ancient cultures include birth/rebirth in their death concepts - my interpretation of the Ching's and Mayan calendar's "death of the earth" predictions is that we are moving into the alternate universe, which is a 'normal' season in our galaxy's orbit. Changes, yes; death, no; birth and rebirth, yes.

ed to add notes, link.

Amen Edews, this is a great read. S + F for you OP. Confirmation of a multi-verse would shatter conventional thinking as we know it. I believe a discovery of this nature, would be as significant as Alien disclosure. Unfortunately in believing that it leads me to assume TPTB would do all possible to cover-up such a confirmation.

I believe that eventually they will discover that the intial state of the universe was one of energies and nothing more. Universes are made when two opposing energies merge, bump etc... Perhaps the entire existence of anything started with a slight differential in temperature in a void. This is a plausible way to get something out of nothing with the exception of the temperature differential which may have just been a fluke happening that eventualy and perpetually grew.

So my vote for what created everything is a simple and possible extreemly small temperature difference within a void that is the multiverse which os no longer a void of course.

I also believe they will find that once you leave a gravity well that any spacecraft would be able to reach or exceed the speed of light. I belive gravity itself is what prevents us from meassuring and understanding things outside of our solar system and galaxy.

Lastly it is my belife that the center of black holes or the singularity is nothing more than a ball of energy perhaps back to its original form were all particles etc... have been returned to their natural state and no longer can be viewed as matter. As you move out away from the singularity you will see other stages of matter being converted into this energy to eventually join the singularity but due to the time distortion effects will never reach the center and are for all purposes stuck in time as they are untill you move far enough away were gravity alows time to continue. It is at this point were matter is not stuck in time that more singularities begin to form but are broke up due to the tidal forces created by the original black hole. This causes this free energy to escape and project out as a black hole feeds on new matter. This is what causes those high energy "death rays" to shoot out of black holes.

Once a singlularity is formed, somewhere outside our viewable universe is more of the "original energy" and this attracts each black hole like magnets attract each other. The singularity within each black hole is drawn to the external edges of the universe like two magnets being draw to each other. This explains why each galaxy is moving inexplicably to certain locations in the known universe. The universe is not flat or spherical it is simply lumpy mesh were two energies are intermingling and creating matter "Gas, plasma etc...". Some black holes maybe drawn to one type of orignal energy and others to the other type. I cannot square this idea up in my mond however.

No big bang. More like a big splat.
