It's so sad these these people are that desperate...
You did raise a great point, there are already devices that detect explosive material, etc(I've seen a short segment about "sniffers" on discovery/history, idk...could be any channel..) in place, why the need for full body scanners?

IDK.

But they sure do make it seem a lot more complicated than it has to be.
I think programmers should get on this and make it possible for these full body scanners to filter out the human body in the resulting image; making it practical for a scanner and less controversial for those who oppose such an intrusion.

I think the machines are evil on every imaginable level and should be banned.

At the same time, personally speaking, I feel anyone who'd want to look at my naked body has far bigger problems than I...

Nevertheless, the potential for abuse of all sorts is so large that its totally insane this system exists.
