Many conspiracy theories are concerned with extraterrestrials positioned as the creators of humanity by way of genetic creation, engineering and
intervention. Many conspiracy theorists believe that such information will eventually be disclosed to us by the relevant powers that be.
Let's hypothesize together that humanity achieves intergalactic space travel proficient enough to allow the temporary colonization of a nearby
planet. The said planet is generally unsuitable/undesirable for human life but through genetic engineering we synthesize a breed of fowl, specifically
a chicken, that thrives within the confines of the new planetary environment. On Earth, we farm chickens to feed from the fruit of their belly and on
their flesh therefore it stands to reason that we would cultivate this type of space chicken in the exact same manner given the abundance of the
species due to a) the relative congeniality and enormity of the planetary habitat and b) the low intervening maintenance requirements due to an array
of plant and vegetative genera we've introduce to what is by now, an unnatural planetary habitat and very much manufactured for the space chickens to
feed. That's right, space plants for space chickens.
Most omnivores wouldn't have a problem with the cultivation of this new species because we essentially view chickens as infinitely inferior and deem
their lives insignificant enough to harvest, cull and shape them as ever revered McNuggets. What if extraterrestrials indeed created us but view us in
a similar manner? What if we are but lab mice, slave chimps as depicted in the tales of the Sumerian King Anu or the source of a food stuff to our
extraterrestrial creators? What if, indeed.
