Funny, Britain had far more training than the continental army. Our army was just a bunch bunch of average joes and slaves trying to earn their
freedom, no fighting experience at all. Our founding fathers didn't want a war, they were forced into it over a slow procession of events. They
didn't think they had a pie in the sky chance of winning against the British army. It wasn't until Britain decided they needed to get those
"peaceful" protesters under control and Americans were forced to defend themselves that the war started. Well that and the fact that Britain feared
a war that the colonists didn't even dare dream of starting, so they came and took their guns and ammo. People really need to understand how the
revolution got started.
The thing is you have to understand your enemy, and in this case that is our government. if your enemy is the type to fight with violence against
innocent people *cough* Iraq *cough* then you know they are going to have no problem using violence to get their own people under control if they
think the boat is being rocked a little to hard I.E. all those peaceful protesters out there displaying less than 100% loyalty.
An analogy I used in another thread was this. Imagine you are a woman as I am. Now imagine you are 100% against any sort of violence. One night you
find yourself confronted with being raped. Are you going to peaceful try to reason with this man on the morality of rape or are you going to fight
back, you aren't going to just lay there and take it you are going to fight!
So the question is, when the government decides it needs to flaunt its power a bit and show the people who is boss, and mark my words, history does
indeed repeat its self, are you going to just lie there and take it or are you going to fight back? Personally I would rather take the offensive and
show them who is really in control THE PEOPLE, before they try to show us.
