Breaking: UK to Expel Israeli Diplomat Over Assassination

www.foxnews.com

nvestigators accused Israel's Mossad spy agency of planning the hit on a Hamas commander for more than a year and using dozens of bogus passports or phony identities to enter the UAE.

Britain was to expel an Israeli diplomat Tuesday over the cloning of British passports -- a charge closely linked to the assassination of Hamas commander Mahmoud al Mabhouh, Sky News sources said Tuesday.

This isn't really surprising. There was plenty of speculation on it the past few weeks and now it has turned that the Mossad passports of British citizens. If one want's to destroy diplomatic relations - this is the way to go.

But I gather there’s a sting: the Mossad representative in London was ordered to leave, and was expected to fly out last night before news was released. He will be described as a ’senior diplomat’ but in the tit-for-tat game, it’s the Israeli secret service’s declared man in London who has been asked to go. Britain is furious that British citizens were put in possible jeopardy by the Israelis, but our fury is tempered by a sneaking admiration for the way it was done.

Apparently, it is a Mossad representative to be expelled instead of a diplomat.

Damn !

You had me all hot and bothered when I read the thread title, Mdv

Yeah, a diplomat(s) would have been nice, but a spy is better than nothing I guess...

I wish the Australian govt had the spine to kick known Israeli intelligence agents out of the country

Hmmm.More theatrics I think.
This "mossad" man, will probably be very little to do with any mossad actions if he is the "face" of the agency.
Hes just the suit they roll out when mossad needs to keep what they are really up to secret IMO.
"oh look how the UK gov have put mossad in their place..."say the population.
Meanwhile in the real world-nothing changes. As usual.

Actually, The Age are reporting that the UK will indeed expel an Israeli diplomat...

Apparently Miliband is going to formally blame Israeli security services for the al-Mabhouh hit when he addresses Parliament today...

Happy days indeed !!

I am guessing that while whoever they decide to boot out may be described as a "diplomat" s/he may be involved with mossad in some way or another, although I just cannot see miliband saying "we are kicking out a mossad representative."
He will more likely use the word "diplomat,"IMO.
We shall see in 45 minutes.

Al-Jazeera are reporting the head of Mossad in London is to be expelled. In fact he is reported to have already left the country.

I am actually proud of my government for once. Bring it Israel if you want a diplomatic row.

this is what would happen if any country had the balls to expell Israeli diplomats

Breaking News: Britain the new Anti semetic country

www.foxnews.com

Earlier today britain has expelled all diplomats of the Jewish state of Israel for doing what they have every right to do defend their countries from internal and external forces using any method at hand.

Israel has used Forged British passports using real details of British citizens to hatch and use its plans to kill a hamas terrorist leader in a forign country.

Britain the anti semetic country has expelled these diplomats showing that it is anti jewish and against the state of Israel.

also on note tommorow gordon brown will be sharing a cocktail at the persion lapdancing club for men with the stalin dictator and president of Iran and Syria on ways of attacking our masters in the middle east

I think this is serious enough to boot out the ambassador,Ron Prosser.
But I doubt they will do that.

I still say its theatrics though, even if they kick out the "head" of mossad in the UK.
For one thing,no one knows for sure who the real head of mossad is in the UK,no matter what it may say in the newspapers etc.

The guy they kick out today may be the cleaner of the mossad office for all we know.
And how many more mossad members will be left operating here?
Surely they will appoint a new leader straight away anyhow, and nothing will change IMO.

Agreed. It is serious enough to expel the Israeli Ambassador. And this expelling of the Mossad chief is probabley the minimum the British government could do. All Israel needs to do is appoint someone else as the head of Mossad in London.

However the timing is interesting. Israel is under alot of international pressure over its illegal settlements in E. Jerusalem, the West Bank and siege of Gaza. It would seem the British are looking to add to this pressure.

This being the UK, it's hardly surprising that the British are playing to their new leaders.

What was it Churchill said about appeasement - it's the process whereby you make friends with the crocodile in the hope that he will eat you last.

Chamberlain Syndrome.

I heard this news on Kerrang! Radio earlier. I couldn't believe they actually got caught. A little sloppy that they did. Perhaps this is just what we are meant to believe? Or have I just been spending too much time on ATS again?

Milliband is talking now. 'Israel was responsible for the forging of the passports'.
He told Liberman of his deep concern over the incident. Told him yesterday of the findings.

Milliband looking for a formal assurance from Israel that this will never happen again. 'Member of the embassy to be withdrawn from Israeli embassy'.

I seem to remember a couple of years or so ago, the New Zealand government practically severed links with the Israelis after a couple of arrested Israelis were found with stolen documentation and passports.

So, it's just something they do, and another reason to scrutinise every one of the buggers over here and wishing to enter the country. The US had it's large numbers of "art students", and we seem to have a large number of those Dead Sea cosmetic stands in shopping malls.

Doesn't matter whether you support Hamas or hate them (or any other group or individual for that matter), murder is still illegal in most countries. Stealing identities for criminal reasons is also illegal too, but Israel doesn't care.
So, hit them where it hurts, financially. Stop all aid of any sort, put sanctions in place and close down their embassies until they prove themselves worthy enough to re-join the international community. It's no less than we'd subject any other country to if they were acting the way Isreal does.
