From:

www.freerepublic.com...

Some quotes selected from many from 1900 to not that long ago by our leaders at the above link:

1995 - July/August: In the CFR's Foreign Affairs, prominent CFR member Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. exclaims: "We are not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money."

. . .

1940
A book entitled, The New World Order by H.G. Wells, in which Wells claims: "It is the system of nationalist individualism that has to go....We are living in the end of the sovereign states....In the great struggle to evoke a Westernized World Socialism, contemporary governments may vanish....Countless people...will hate the new world order....and will die protesting against it."

. . .

1996 - October 23: On "The Charlie Rose Show" on the Public Broadcasting System, Mikhail Gorbachev states: "We are part of the Cosmos. Cosmos is my God. Nature is my God....The future society will be a totally new civilization which will synthesize the experience of Socialism and Capitalism...."

. . .

1970 - Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era by Zbigniew Brzezinski is published. He is a CFR member who will become the first director of the Trilateral Commission and President Carter's national security advisor. In this book he states: "Marxism represents a further vital and creative stage in the maturing of man's universal vision. Marxism is simultaneously a victory of the external, active man over the inner, passive man and a victory of reason over belief.....Human beings become increasingly manipulable and malleable...

Today we are again witnessing the emergence of transnational elites....whose ties cut across national boundaries....The nation-state is gradually yielding its sovereignty....Further progress will require greater American sacrifices. More intensive efforts to shape a new world monetary structure will have to be undertaken.”

############################

Does anyone remember Hillary's comments to the effect that:

'We are going to take things away from you and give them to other people.'

And the current occupant of the White House saying something to the effect of

'We are going to spread the wealth around.'

Ditto Nancy P pontificating similarly.

How many euphemisms does one need for

MARXIST COMMUNISM?

Have you EVER STUDIED how well COMMUNISM WORKED for the victims of it?

How about the 130+ million citizens killed by the Communist Party elites? Perhaps you think that was too little killed in behalf of population control???

Your post reminds me of good old Peggy the Moocher. Someone always thinks they will be getting something for nothing.

You, the citizen of the United States do not need to partake in the health care itself. You do still have to pay the taxes associated with it as you would any other tax:
www.cbsnews.com...
(seriously $95 a year? come on that's nothing really)

What I was referring to was that the federal government is not in any way shape or form compelling people to receive health care. This is what certain religious groups in the United States such as Christian Scientists were worried about. Philosophical opposition comes in the form of people against vaccinations, there are no mandatory services in the bill. I think they are both insane personally, but that's their choice and the United States is a free country.

The rights of these minority groups were preserved in the bill.

That's not my understanding.

Amish, yes, protected.

I don't know of any other group that is.

And, IIRC, there's still the provision for being fined and imprisoned for not purchasing health insurance.

AND the provsion for the government TO HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

TO TAKE a payment for health care that THEY feel is fitting.

I'll just repeat myself.

This is from another thread:

What I find most offensive about this whole ordeal is that they used healthcare, one of the most important issues to us as Americans, as a vehicle to violate the Constitution while bailing out an insolvent insurance industry. This cannot stand. Their mandate makes us SLAVES to the insurance industry and all other industry, and it is the very reason why this bill is such a threat to liberty.

Sure, it's a victory, bur not for you.

They said the same thing when Social security and medicare were passed.

you think social security and medicare are raving successes? A moral argument could be made, but fiscally it is train wreck. The middle eastern wars, social security, and medicare/medicaid are gigantic contributors to our national debt. Why would you expect health care regulation to be anything different?

Welllllll . . . uhhhh . . . because . . .

uhhhhh . . . because . . . wellll . . .

BECAUSE the Post Office is such a screaming success . . .

uhhhhh . . . wellllll . .. . because . . .

Social Security has such a few sinecures and is slated to be wonderfully generously solvent through the year 2525 with absolutely no problem.

uhhhhhhh . . . welllll . . . . because . . .

The Federal Government has been soooooooooooooooooooooo honorable and faithful in fulfilling every one of it's promises to take care of its Veterans . . . .

uhhhhh . . . wellllll . . . because . . .

as one recent Congress Critter openly asserted:

"We are going to keep stealing from you until you tie our hands."

This bill is about enslavement not insurance! Are you people that support this garbage on drugs!? My God this is the worst thing to happen to our freedom in sixty years! I will not be a part of this! I will NOT pay for this! I will no longer consider the fed anything but a giant treasonous enemy of our liberty and our once great republic! You people who think this is a good thing will se just how great it is in the coming years. Of course if your dense enough to think this is even close to being a good thing now maybe you are too dumb to know what's going on even when you are being dragged in to have your microchip installed. I can't believe you are even the same species as me!
