Concerning the assertion that the planes carrying the Israeli agents allegedly involved in a murder in Budapest used the Turkish Airspace, Turkish Air
Force Commandership made the statement that “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested, the two Israeli planes were granted permission”
The Turkish Air Force Commandership issued a statement yesterday, following the assertions appearing in the media with regards to the two Israeli spy
planes flying via Turkey to Hungary’s capital Budapest and the Israeli agents in the plane carrying out the killing of the Hungarian citizen of
Syrian descent Bassam Trache in his vehicle. The statement noting the Israeli planes entry to the Turkish airspace at 09:35 on 17th March and exit in
the same day at 14:20, called attention to the fact that the Israeli planes heading to Budapest were “granted permit to fly over” upon the request
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Hungarian press announced that the suitcase of Trache, who has lived in the country for 20 years and
transferred a large sum of money to Palestine, went missing after the incident as well. Following the assertions, the Turkish Air Force Commandership
informed that the flight permission of the planes were granted upon the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The following was disclosed in the
statement:
Hours of entry & exit
- Upon the 04 March 2010 dated and DHGY/422688 referenced writing of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign affairs, a request was received for
the two Gulfstream type military planes of Israel to be given permission to fly over in the Turkish airspace on 17th March on the Nevatim/Israel –
Budapest/Israel – Varna/Bulgaria – Nevatim route.
- The said planes were granted flight permission with the consent of the Turkish General Staff.
- Within this scope, two Gulfstream type Israeli military planes entered the Turkish airspace at 09:35 on 17th March 2010 and exited at 10:30. On the
return route, the same planes entered the Turkish airspace at 13:30 and exited at 14:20.
