The Secret Service Is Investigating a Conservative's Obama Assassination Tweets

As Congress entered the final round of debate Sunday over the controversial health insurance reform bill, a self-described conservative blogger used his public Twitter account to urge the assassination of President Barack Obama. U.S. Secret Service spokesperson Max Milien confirms to DailyFinance: "We are aware of the actual posting and are actively investigating." A request for comment from a Twitter spokesperson hasn't been returned.

As the blog Jezebel has reported, Soloman (Solly) Forell, apparently enraged by the impending passage of the health insurance reform bill, used his Twitter account to call for the assassination of Barack Obama, while also tweeting that since the country survived the assassinations of Lincoln and Kennedy, "we'll surely get over" this one, too.

Between this story and the article about the Tea Party calling for violence in midst of the Heath Care Bill, I wonder just how many more we're going to be seeing over the next few weeks.

The tweeter, Solly Forell, explains that he's not trying to encourage the assassination of the POTUS.

Happened during the bush years also when people called for Bush to be taken out, and Clinton, Bush Sr. Reagen, etc etc etc.

These monkeys represent the true knuckledraggers in our society completely brainwashed by the extreme elements of a party...

Both sides of the aisle have this issue...and of course its stories like these that make the news, not the vast majority of any opposition that appear fairly level headed and voicing actual concerns.

Still, it needs to be taken seriously no matter who is saying it...Manson is in jail for encouraging murder of specific people at specific times...and that plan worked.

The person broke the law. There are limits placed on free speech and one of those limits is calling for the assignation of our president. It doesn't matter who is president, the person that made the threat is in the wrong.

He could have said lets kick him out next election or even let's impeach him. He could have also called him every vulgarity in existence. Which may have brought some scorn, but it would have been legal.

Glenn Beck constantly alludes to the assassination of Obama and key figures in his administration. Just the other day he made the comment that if they pass the Health Care Reform that obama would be "Sleeping with the fishes" and then laughed hysterically.

Not to mention the "death to Obama" tea party signs and images of Obama getting into a casket. Still others with pictures of guns or other weapons and the insinuation of their usage unless things go their way.

Add to that the constant comparison that Glenn Beck makes of Obama and Hitler, Mao, Stalin, etc and then talking about how Americans need to "rise up" and take their country back by force. Then showing holocaust pictures/videos to say that is what will happen if people don't 'fight back' and what not.

Glenn Beck advocates violence, and it is being shown by the spitting, racial slurs, bricks through windows, and threats of great bodily harm to democrat representatives.

Has anyone else noticed that Facebook and Twitter are the only sites ever talked about by the MSM? Free Advertising, word of mouth at that. Did it ever occur to anyone that every time their is an event the news first breaks on Twitter? Did it ever occur to anyone that Twitter and Facebook both have their own agendas that are part of a bigger agenda?

As SaturnFX alluded to, just another nutter focusing their vitriol, anger and angst towards an individual instead of the establishment responsible on the whole - We The People.

Those lackluster, complacent, 6 o'clock SnewZe-driven, all-believing "Voters", who make up a significant portion of the overall populace, yet only "voice" their "concerns" every 2 or 4 years by pushing letter-labeled buttons (e.g.: R -vs- D).

Hell. We voted them into office and are perfectly capable of voting out the one's which don't hold true to representing their constituents desires.

I, myself, am in No way condoning either, with regards the blogger and like-kind minds, but how many times in the past have we seen the lone extremist/nutter (or group thereof) attempt to accomplish similar-type radical "retribution" ... all in the name of standing up to "the man", to "voice" their thoughts, stance or opinions - however misguided or ill-conceived. Violence begets violence, and whether it's one or a mere few the results of such don't typically pan out in favor of those initiating/taking said actions.

While there are certainly Many individuals holding office who, for the most part don't appear qualified or capable of representing their local P.T.A., let alone entire regions and/or states, there Are still those seeking to uphold their oath, commitments and campaigned-intentions throughout.

Vote out the chaff and Vote up the wheat ... what else are we to do?

Like i said beck is an operative to divert the tea parties into the republican party , to call for new taxes and less civil liberties and more needless wars and outrageous debt.

You need to wise up son on how you can be played. If i was a dem i would attack myself then point the fingers at the repubs and divide you again. How the hell do you think jp morgan stole Washington mutual when it offered to buy it months before? Wamu turned it down.

Jp morgan used the fdic to confiscate wamu when wamu had 30 billion in cash on hand. Then the fdic gave it to jpmorgan.

WAMU ceos cashed out. Wamu went to court and the stock holders got 0.

Jpmorgan picked up wamu for nothing. and took all the assets and all the cash. The government is on the hook for all the debt and we are paying for this service by proudly beign an upstanding citizen by fear of the irs.
