I understand what your saying kinglizard. I respect your opinion as well, and am not here to argue about it with you either.

I would like to add, however, that I find it an interesting quark that so many religious people similar to yourself and who probably feel the same as you, actually find pictures like the ones below as being acceptable. (You may or may not like them either, I don't know, but you see what I'm saying hopefully.)

I've always found that to be strange personally.

Agreed, personally I don�t enjoy looking a images that depict the suffering of Jesus and his ultimate death. However they may do some good by reminding his children of his sacrifice and love. I was raised in Catholic Parochial schools all my life and the image of Jesus on the cross (crucifix) was around every corner. I don�t believe that the depiction of Christ on the cross is inherently evil; it can be used in a respectful, humbling way.

Just because I love being devil's advocate, I don't see what the problem is. If the username was Alah or Ra or Buddha, it would not be causing half the problems that it seems to be. It is easy to point and joke about others beliefs, but that jesting sense of humor seems to be abandoned when the finger turns back upon themselves and their beliefs.

Sure this may all be a bit crass, but the Jesus member is obviously trying to be the class clown and not the schoolyard bully. But that is just my opinion and I never did understand why people got so easily offended over silly things.

I think it�s a matter of respect for others and their beliefs. If the username was Allah or Ra or Buddha and the majority believed and lived their lives according to their teachings we would see the same outcry if their belief received the same sort of mockery. The fact of the matter is that we have many Christians on this board. I don�t find it unusual that they have become upset with the lack of respect the member �jesus� has shown to Christians of this community.

I know he is only having a laugh, but im a catholic and it didn't put a smile on my face. but hey, i got better things to do then listen to a little newbie who is seeking attention
