Aw, don't let a couple asshats ruin your experience

A little skepticism and the guy runs away cry'in. That's all the reason you

that could be causing such personality imperfections. Azzshoot.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? Seriously, school is cool.

Pretty interesting story, I found a few articles that mention a experience similar to yours from February.

Here's one from March

I saw a youtube video not too long ago, supposedly showing nibiru, but also, the sun appeared to flicker very brightly a couple of times. Maybe this is related somehow. I'll go on a little hunt for the video, I'll edit the post to include it when I find it. (if I find it before I go out)

This video here (of IMO a sun dog) But it has the flashing/flickering of the sun.

I think we have all the first degree facts we're going to get on this. The OP is not a trained investigator, just someone looking to buy antique blacksmith equipment. We can deride him for not immediately kicking into "junior G-Man" mode and interrogating everyone, but it didn't happen to us, did it? I know a guy who worked as an accident investigator with the Florida Highway Patrol. He got broadsided by a delivery truck and twelve years later still can't remember most of the accident (he was not injured).

First off you should probably get a doctor to give you a once over. Just tell them you blacked out.

I am guessing this is the result of lightening.

The other possibility is your a nut and obsessed with the tv show flash forward.

Were you inside or near electrical outlets during these flashes? Perhaps there was a sudden burst that caused a flash? Our minds play wierd games with us though so I wouldn't be suprised of anything really.

edit:= I said this because I got slightly electricuted before and there was a huge flash of light and i hit the ground and blacked out for barely anytime. but I knew where the electricty came from, but when trying to recall it just seemed to come from everywhere.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up already? But...

Could the large hadron collider have something to do with it?

Well hey, the heat is a part of this kitchen. So if you want to stay cool.

If you can't stand the heat...yeah I go with that.

To the OP (if you're still reading): you're probably totally unaware of the phenomenon internet boards. This thread actually went pretty well, with just one person stating explicitly he doesn't buy it. I'm suprised you let yourself get scared away. If you are so eager to share your experience, I find it strange that you give up so fast.
Therefore, I don't buy it, too. Also, I find it strange that you didn't help the others, as mentioned before. Besides, reacting with those terrible ad hominem arguments isn't going to make you look any better. You don't seem to be a nice person to discuss things with. And perhaps you should indeed refrain from visiting this board!

Hello Dirt,

If you are still reading this I would like to point out some things.

First of all your recounting of the story makes sense.....

You were scared out of your wits and so were the other people.

Normally when something very strange happens the human mind is closed off in it's own fear. What you are recounting is the bits and pieces that managed to stick with you despite your own environmental mental blindness, on top of your actual temporary blindness.

Also the toppled woman on her child tell a lot of what happened, but you are telling the story as if she fell on the child.

Women have excellent instinctual reflexes when it comes to their young.

If I had to get I'd say the woman thew herself on the child out of instinct due to the bright flash.

Whats ever happened to you and the others, You all clearly thought you were goners.

Not this time. Something isn't right with your story. Your account of what happened is more unbelievable than what happened. You didn't even
get up and say, are you ok? Did you see that? You just stumbled to your car and left? Not buy'in it.

And with this idiotic, close-minded tripe, I bid this website adieu. Thank you to those who posted with a willingness to explore my story. I thought the "My Story" forum was for giving personal accounts, however unbelievable or "out there" they seem? Instead, I have my character called in to question by overweight teenagers who play at intelligence. This website's motto should be changed from "Deny Ignorance" to "Promote Pricks".

You can of course choose which posts you personally wish to promote, be it the ones you find helpful, or the ones you dont like and decide to paint a forum based on that.

I would venture to say that if you are stuck on the 1 post in 10 and decide the whole website = the 1 verses the 9 others, then ya...general forums may not be your thing. You wont really find anywhere on earth that has both perfect information transfer and agreement with you...its typically one or the other.

As far as your story goes, was there a swamp nearby? perhaps some sort of ignition of gases in the area creating a flash fire in the low atmosphere..

I work in NOVA and Thursday morning when I was driving into work around 4:45AM. I saw what appeared to be a shooting star only it looked like no shooting star I've ever seen. It was blue in color (at least the tail was) and it acted more like a flare. It shot almost straight down and then it died out. Not really relevant in what happened here but strange and in NOVA none the less. But it was 4:45 in the morning and I hadn't had a full cup of coffee yet so who knows.

You mentioned that it affected you and the mother/child, however it did not seem to affect the two men that were with you. Sounds like a targeted burst of some kind.

I doubt you would have seen a ship, as most of the time they are only visible by camera.

Where is Aberdeen Proving Ground in relation to where you were?
I wonder if it was a testing of a tactical nuke; small battlefield nuke.
You could have been close enough or at just the correct position to catch the flashes.
I know that's stretching it quite a bit; but a possibility nonetheless.

I live in NOVA, and when I was in the Army (stationed here, got out, decided to stay) I was talking to a superior officer with 2 or 3 other people present when the same type of thing OP described happened. No one mentioned it until I asked "WTF, did you just feel that?". Point is, it turned out to be that barely noticable earthquake that happened in DC 4 or 5 years ago... or at least it was at the exact same time.

I was in arlington, va thursday night and noticed a strange star sparkling distinctly green, red, blue and white.

I have never seen anything like it. It was 11:00 pm and I mentioned it to my daughter who ran outside and was also mesmerized.

It was west north west at 30 degrees above the horizon. I looked for it friday but it was gone. I don't know if its related but your story suddenly reminded me.

I don't know if this will be of any use to you, but I had a similar experience a year or so ago. My husband, son and I were out on the land doing some animal care. It was a day with a high haze but no storms in sight. It was early spring and not the season for thunderstorms. I was in the barn working in the chicken house, my husband and son were in the field with the goats. The barn was dark, the only light is what was a thin stream of light that was coming from the door that was slightly open. I was just getting ready to enter the chicken's pen at the back of the barn when I noticed an odd swirl of electric blue light rising from the barn floor.
I was about to call the guys to come look at it when out of no where a flash of light so bright that it momentarily blinded me accompanied by a boom so loud that it shook my teeth in my head caused me to stumble and fall to my knees. When I regained my wits and sight, I ran outside in terror that my guys had been struck by lightening or something. When I made it outside I found the both standing stock still in the field with a shocked look on their faces. They said that they had seen the light actually come up from the ground and then ignite in a horizontal wave about two feet off the ground. The sound concussion was horrendous. I told them what I had seen and then we went to make sure the animals were ok. They seemed to be, so we went back to the house to check on an elderly friend that was in the house. When we got there we found that the doos were all open and that they couldn't be closed. The woman inside said that she has seen the flash and ran to the door which was flung open with the concussion. In the aftermath I called neighbors and friends in the area who were fairly close by but no one was home so we couldn't tell if anyone else heard or saw it. I called a friend a couple of miles away, she said she had heard and explosion but was in the house where there were no windows and hadn't seen any flash. All of the exterior door and a couple of the interior doors had to be reset in their frames, the hinges had to be moved because the concussion was so powerful that it shook the house off it's foundation slightly making it impossible to close the doors. I did some research online and found some info that might explain what happened. There was some info on discharges of electro magnetic pulses (scalar energy) of electric blue light, that happens around volcanoes and as a precurser to major seismic events. In some cases they are called earthquake booms, this is where the seismic energy is discharged above the ground instead of under ground. It is kind of like and above ground earthquake. Since that time I have moved to the mountains of Costa Rica.
We live within view of Arenal Volcano, one of the 10 most active volcanoes on earth. It is not unusual for us to experience shudders and blue flashes of light emitting from the ground and from the sky above us and around the volcano there can be seen flashes of light, like lightening but they are really coming from the volcano and are electro-magnetic in nature. I truely believe that having seen first hand the discharges from the ground and volcano here, that what we saw in our North Carolina pasture The strange thing is that the one in North Carolina was more intense than anything we've experienced here at the foot of an active volcano! I don't know if that is what happened to you, but it sounds similar to what we have experienced. I hope it helps....

So an earthquake is iminent in DC?? Or is there a volcano nearby?

Freaky story though...very odd. Would be interesting to find out what this phenomena is, and also, how humans seem to be catching it right in the face.

I just wanted to throw out this here, hopefully not considered "off-topic", but it does tie in with the post about the LHC

It was appx. 3:20-3:35am (Central) and I was getting ready to go "try" and go to bed. My dogs started acting weird - nothing crazy, but out of the ordinary. I thought I heard the patio door push open. I went to the door to make sure it was latched, it was fairly windy. While I was standing at the door, I saw a bright flash out to the East that lit up the sky and then something like a flickering light fairly bright above the tree line. I stood there for a while waiting to see if anything else would happen, but nothing.

I live in central Kansas (just about as central as you can get). I've seen things like this a few times, different times, and in different locations. But I watch the sky frequently (lol...that's probably one of the reasons I'm on ATS)

Anyway, there was no sound (thunder/rumble/etc) and there was no other lights following - I stood for a while, because we have had some crazy weather in Kansas the past few years. The ice storm we had was wicked a couple of years ago - started out with a thunderstorm - turned to ice - we were under a "state of emergency" for about two weeks? I'm not 100% sure about how long it was, because where I live we have our own power plant, so we didn't experience anything but outages every now and again. Everyone else in the county was down.

Anyway - I was looking for something like that. The left side of my head/shoulder has been aching for about two weeks now (when normally it only does this about two-three days previous to a storm of any kind) I figured it was going to be some big storm hitting us. Nothing too bad yet.

So, the OP's time and my time don't match up, but depending on the time for the post on the LHC may come close.

Don't know if that helps at all...and I could be just completely off base...it just "felt" strange. The morning before, I felt a strange vibration accompanied with a rumble. No one else noticed it, but then again, most people aren't awake when I am...if they are they are intoxicated. lol

Getting defensive? Why would you say this:

Something isn't right with your story. Your account of what happened is more unbelievable than what happened. You didn't even
get up and say, are you ok? Did you see that? You just stumbled to your car and left? Not buy'in it.

When the guy is simply looking for possible answers, possible other witnesses? You're basically saying to him that you think he's a liar, and you base this on assumptions because he didn't SAY that he helped someone or asked them if they were OK. He clearly stated that whatever it was scared the hell out of him. You don't know what happened.

I guess you have no more reason for name-calling, either. Azzshoot?

For the record, I was using the term generally, not calling anyone in particular and asshat, but hey, if the shoe fits.
