Well he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Fox News viewers will complain about him not going on Fox, and then they complain about his interviews just as much when he does them, so he might as well go on a popular channel and try to appeal to those minds that are going to criticize him anyway.

He did it to himself because he is the way that he is...

Just like Charlie Manson is who he is ...

You have got the answers.

It's pretty clear to me that most people watch the news that agrees with their world view and political opinions. All the people who watch FOX News never get to hear "the other side" of the story, just as those who always watch MSNBC never hear "the other side". Obama going on FOX News is a courageous thing to do, but more importantly, it's smart.

Some people out there aren't even aware of the outrageous right spin on FOX and watch it because of habit or because they like the newscasters. They think they're getting a "fair and balanced" view.
Obama is just showing them that they're not.

I think it's pretty obvious.

The White House has already deemed FOX is not a tangible news organization

So?

Neither is the Colbert Report or Letterman.

We all know FOX isn't news. Does it matter?

Actually...
It wasn't the whitehouse who said Fox wasn't news, it was Fox Senior vice president Michael Clemente.

...
well, he actually just said hannity, riley and beck aren't.
Of course, the news part of fox mainly consists of reporting what hannity, riley and beck say.
