Weird "electrocution" feeling during meditation

Again, not to be judgmental, but could it be possible you have such a strong desire to experience something metaphysical and/or supernatural that you have tricked yourself into believing these things? To be clear, I do believe in Chinese Qi healing, but I am not sure how this energy would bring you any great insight or wisdom into EVERYTHING as you described. Also, why would the reality of projecting energy out of your body be a sign of higher consciousness? Again, I respect your beliefs and I am not attacking them so no need to be defensive, I am only trying to understand these things you speak of.

I originally got into meditation with chakra work and learned it from a Hindu lady who had practiced it for over 25 years, but what I realized was that I was merely studying/watching my body and mind, and how energy interacted within it, and it did seem to help me but I never saw colors or visions of other lives or felt 'chakras' opening up as so many say. That is why I began practicing Vipassana meditation because it essentially did the same thing for me but it emphasized more so on the study and understanding of the body and mind which has giving me great insight and understanding about life.

I have been thinking about doing chakra meditation again in conjuncture with my regular Vipassana, that is why I was interested in this thread but I do question whether many of these beliefs people are having are no more than consequences of their strong desires to experience the 'supernatural'. Not a belief at all.... Why? I have experienced the Kundalini energy rising when I was 18, without prior knowledge of Chi Kung or the Chi energy. In fact, I experienced it after I woke up from a dream. I was dreaming about myself being a Han warrior or Kung Fu Master during the Han dynasty, with 3 other brothers. Before, I studied Carl Jung very extensively. At the moment, I don't believe I can project Chi at all. I don't even know how. If I know, could be another 10 years, I would surely document it. Without getting into the ups and downs about my life, I can tell you that if you did live my life, you would understand everything very clearly. I didn't go this far based on a belief system.

About Chakra opening....... Not sure what you know already but from what I have read, some of the instructions were very metaphorical. I have to laugh at it. For an example, you should associate certain feeling with certain chakra. If you feel certain ways, you have unblocked the chakra. I don't do that because these energy points are real. Instead, I use the Yi consciousness (meditation terminology from Chi Kung). A consciousness intent visually directing the thoughts to an object, inside or outside. In this case, I direct my yi consciousness at the region where each Chakra is located. I don't grow attached to it. I don't will anything to happen. Just place my thoughts on the location. No metaphors. Not trying to articulate any feeling associated with it. Sometimes, I would see a spiraling disc rotating along with the same white bluish light moving around. Slowly, in that region of your body, you will feel pressure. Then, it begins to pulse like hot blood running through it. It may be accompanied by a mild tingling sensation too. By the time you worked towards your third eye and crown chakras, your whole body pulses. Forgot, you would also begin to hear clicking or popping sound around you for no reasons.....

I think we know what is doing this.

Come on people, you are just too scared to say it.
