Earthquakes in Various Places!!!

I have had this on my mind for a while now. While most people are aware of the major earthquakes that hit in Haiti and Chile in January and February but most people don't realize that the earth has been very angry since the opening of the year. Most people know that a magnatude 6.0 or higher is considered a major quake so I'll only bother you with the stats of major quakes these past few months. Here is a list of them... including the extremely strong aftershocks in Chile....

What does this mean for us? Let's not forget the famous Olivet Prophecy in the book of Matthew chapter 24 (also in Mark 13 and Luke 21).

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

"You will be hearing of.....earthquakes in one place after another."

We now average around 30 earthquakes a day, one day recently there was almost 100! Most go unreported by the MSM, unless they kill or destroy stuff.
Jesus always knew we would develop the technology to track these events thus uniquely fulfilling this prophesy in the 20th and 21st century.

Click on the link above and you have the ability "to hear of earthquakes in one place after another", just like Jesus said.

That being said nobody is immune to these earthquakes whether they believe or not, there is no "special protection".

But the sign for us is very clear.

With several points that struck me...wars, famine, pestilence, and Earthquakes- a special favorite lately, it was War last month, and Pestilence a few months before, after watching a National Geographic special on my TV tonight, it will probably be Famine as the next item of interest.
and then as the prophecy continues...
"8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. "

I shall echo BlueJay's comment, there is no special protection, these are times to recognize the need to draw ourselves close to the creator and know that he provides us security, spiritually.

It's been on my mind too. I told my son the other day, all we are missing are the heavenly bodies being skaken. It says men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world. Almost sounds like an incoming comet/astroid and the hour of testing found in Revelation.

It also fits hand in hand with the prophecies found in Isaiah and other books about the earth being destroyed with fire, reeling like a drunkard, the sun and moon will not give it's light and the earth will tremble and shake from it's place.

Zecharia says it will be a unique day, without daytime or nightime. A day known only to God (no man knows the day or hour) when evening comes there will be light.

Isaiah says it will be the same for priest as for people, master as for servant, for mistress as for maid, for seller as for buyer, for borrower as for lender, for debtor as for creditor. It will all be laid waste and what's left of the inhabitants - scattered. The earth will sway like a hut never to rise again:

Isa 26:20-21 "Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed upon her; she will conceal her slain no longer."

Jesus says to "stand up, lift your heads up."

It will spiral out of control and what has been shown is most still won't repent.

All of this has been on my mind too. War, famine, pestilence, false christianity.... the four horsemen are riding hard these days.... and the earthquakes in various places. I heard someone tell me that "earthquakes" in the Olivet Prophecy refered to all natural disasters, not just tectonic activity. I am very worried about all the seizmic activity near the world's supervolcanoes. A recent 6.8 in Sumatra Indonesia is very worrysome. Take account of the microtremors that happen at Yellowstone on a daily basis. Chile, Argentina and Bolivia share a chain of supervolcanoes just recently found and all the activity in the region is scareing me. Once more, these are just the beginning of sorrows as the great tribulation pushes ever closer and the return of our Lord and Saviour become more evident.

why so much violence? all those innocence dying.

The innocent who die in those Quakes are IMO as far as I know taken strait to heaven.

The Earth acts like it's Karma concerning the peoples sins and so on. God is a parent. If the world sins, blessings are not just gonna be given away forever, no the world will pay the price otherwise God is a terrible parent.

And so these things happen to bring greater good YOU DO NOT see with your human eyes, but God sees through not only humbling us out but bringing love out of suffering.

like a wake up call.

everyone dies. It's a given. So I tell the rebellious person. Don't let satan tempt you saying how can God do this or that.


God takes people out who he does when he does. For the reasons we don't know.


The Earth acts as Karam towards it's people, and the more sin increases and rebellion the more this will happen.


So OP. Yes it's happening. And the last Earthquake is said to swallow ALL the cities of the gentiles.

can you imagine what that's gonna be like?

Well yea because evil will finally end forever. I hate evil so darn much!! It's like an annoying nat we gotta live with until God ends the crap.


I actually wish there were a way to avoid this, but, the world is so evil today, not talking about the fantasies people live in in their comfy homes where they pretend the world is ok, but it's gotten so evil this is the only way out. chastisement and a cleansing of the world.

I agree with you except for this line. It's not that I think earthquake victims go to hell or anything. It's just that the bible gives many examples how no one is yet in heaven except for Christ and God with the angels.

John 3:13
"No man has ascended into heaven except He who came from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even the memory of them is forgotten.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

That last verse speaks of the first resurrection and rapture at the coming of Christ. How will the dead resurrect if they are already in heaven?

Well I agree and really very few people are really innocent. So I do believe many go to hell, but, I forgot to say in that post that the innocent I believe are in the few .So I agree with you locoman.

Orthodox theology is that the final resurrection is of bodies but spirits are in heaven. Revelation 6:9-11 proves that this is true.

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

But hey the earthquakes are coming closer and closer apart, just as with actual birth pains. There was just an earthquake in Israel today:

That verse from revelation was symbolic of what must come (future christian holocaust) before Christ returns and resurrects the dead in Christ.

An Israel earthquake? How strong was it? That's the place to really watch.

Let's add a 7.2 in Baja California yesterday and a 7.7 in Indonesia today. It's getting more frequent. I'm getting bug-eyed now.

Jeff Grupp on antimatter radio is doing some exposure on man made earth quakes that got his computer hacked and destroyed yesterday.
Jesus said something about the end times that in this light could be interpreted, "Man's knowledge will be increased through demonic influences to where they can create earthquakes on any spot on Earth remotely."

Now we have a 7.1 off the coast of the Solomon Islands near Australia. So, in the past 3 or 4 days, we have a 7.7 in Northern Sumatra Indonesia; a 7.2 in Baja Mexico; and a 7.1 in the Solomon Islands. Something ain't stirring the kool-aid right.

Birth pains are getting closer apart...
