Ok - How could this be considered a star after viewing the video? That is obviously not a star. I talked with my great - great - great - uncle about this today who used to be a meteorologist - He as well said it could be a star (Sirius), or Venus, but quickly took that back after viewing the video. Of course the video needs to be critiqued, its obvious this light they are viewing is moving much quicker than a star or planet.

Any news on if the lights appeared again? Please don't tell me the media is just going to drop this...and yet spend months talking about Tiger Wood's sex scandal!

One thing that gets me thinking is the fact that after 9/11, surely the US Air Force/NORAD should be scrambled in situations like this? Or do they really know what it is? Even if 9/11 didn't happen I would expect the "defence" of my country to be implemented when a UFO is flying in my country's airspace. Could be a terrorist, or a foreign spy-plane or anything. People on here just want to be pro-alien or anti-alien and never truly think of the true meaning of UFO.

The fact that this story gets aired on a national news channel and they pull in Nick Pope, of all people, and not a defence or military expert, a politician, just goes to show what is wrong with the mindset of many people...people want to know if it is an alien ship whereas I would be wondering what the feck my government was doing with the billions of dollars the population spend on the defence of the country I lived in.

Is it just me that sees this?

I wouldn't worry to much about our airspace honestly. Unless it really is an alien invasion you really don't have to worry, heh.

Edit: i realize im a bit off topic here but i didnt really explain my post so im editing it a bit. The only thing that goes down in our airspace is whats supposed to go down, 9/11 for instance... Those planes where taken control of by a bunch of pilots in Nevada who thought they where running a flight sim. All the top governmental figures where reading books to kids those days so when questions came in "why didn't you shoot those planes down?" they could say they where not in the loop. Trust me had it been a unplanned event the president would have shot those planes down the second they saw them heading towards densely populated area's.

The US does NOT # around with her airspace.

re re edit: please dont comment on 9/11 or whatever as i realize i was a bit off topic but i was only trying to give an example, please do not comment on this keep it on topic.

OK, knock it off!! You stole aspects of technology I mentioned. You also removed my first post on this subject. If you won't get what is important, then the rest of us will get it for our selves.

MUFON has investigated this case and whatever can be said about it's internal politics, their investigators are pretty thorough. The MUFON guy who went to Lake Erie acknowledged that it was in roughly the same position as Venus at roughly the same elevation, but Venus isn't known for appearing orange & white, and apparently there were two objects visible when viewed through binoculars.
This is just my personal and incomplete astronomical expertise but I think Venus is only visible earlier in the evening or around dawn, and not for as long as this object/objects.
Stellarium and other such programmes are one of the first checks they run :- there are probably iPhone apps that do the same thing.
So it's unlikely to be Venus or a hoax.

G'day Bigfoot73

I can't see a report on the MUFON site.

Have you seen it?

Can you link to it?

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

yeah, you did go waaaaaaaay off topic lol I don't know what example you were trying to use or point you were trying to make

All I am saying is that after an event like 9/11 surely the US Air Force would have scrambled fighters? The same would go for any UFO (not necessarily aliens btw folks) unless they know what it is in Cleveland?
If it is true what you say, that the US doesn't # about when it comes to her airspace, then why has that object been seen for 8 nights in a row yet no reported sightings of any other "Earthly" aircraft? Why haven't any missiles, jet-fighters, recon planes or anything like that been launched by the military?

Forget that "aliens" could be a factor. And think about the light in the sky. Is it a plane? A missile? A satellite from another country? (for the record I know it moved too erratically, but for the sake of argument) Would you not feel safer knowing that no matter what, your "Air Force" would be in the air, forcing things

This video sucks, I mean, if you post a video that fuzzy and blurred on internet and claims the light object seen is an alien craft, you will be bashed and ridiculed and your credibility is gone. For this record, ain't saying it IS NOT an alien vehicle, I'm saying the video is terrible. The dude sent this to FOX is insane or is desperate for publicity.

You guys complaining about fuzzy videos.. How in hell can you take a clear shot of distant light in the night? It will always just be a blob of light unless you can get in closer which just isn't going to happen.

No one has brought up FrozenHill's UFO's over Lake Erie? Sounds like the same description as MSNBC's and same area as well.
www.youtube.com...

His are from a year or two back, and were considered to be airplanes by ATS and thread was labeled hoax.

UFO?

The fact is that the Cuyahoga River caught fire from debris that collected in the crooked river's bend. The short-lived fire was out before the local press reached the scene to record images of its blaze.

It's like they say: "If you haven't food enough on the stove, DON'T invite people to dinner."

If you are working to be a credible source or witness of UFO phenomena, better you don't put a blurred fuzzy video on internet and nor even send it to any TV channel. The effect will be disastrous. The skeptics and debunkers will feed of your blood
and the believers will get disappointed. It's not about if you saw an authentic alien craft, it's about if you have a sharp clear shot of what you saw. Well, unless you're a kamikaze UFO researcher like James Maussan that uses to post a load of I-can't-see-sh*t videos on internet as irrefutable evidences. Well, 90% of UFO audience guess him not too credible, to say the less.

This is from the UFO Examiner site.

I have since checked Stellarium myself and Venus is nowhere near.

Has anyone ruled out remote controlled aircraft with fun lights?

Don't have time to read the whole thread, so sorry of it's been ruled out, but a very good friend was taken in by just such a toy and it crossed my mind when I saw this thread.

If anyone local can have a look I'd like to know what they think. Maybe there's an ATSnews project here.

I have now seen new members post comments like this 3 time in the last few weeks.

Comments like this really get my goat.

What do you think you are going to find when you look at UFO video's here on ATS? Crystal clear proof? A conversation with an alien creature???

The vast majority of video's posted here on ATS are shaky and pixelated. Why? Well, do you carry around a tripod and expensive camera gear on the off chance that you will run into an extraterrestrial who wants to give you an exclusive interview??

I am sorry that I have got a bit worked up about this but there is so much more to most of the stories posted here than just crappy video.

Take this incident for example: What about the 9 days in a row? What about the MSM coverage? What about the opinions and comments made by your fellow members?

Surely you have something more to to add this discussion than a comment announcing your eligibility for becoming the poster boy of The Impatient Generation??

And if you really don't have anything constructive to add to the discussion, please, for pity's sake, don't post anything at all.

Cynical, but a very interesting perspective.

False Flag, disinformation?? ... funny no one else seems to have picked up on this.
