Where did the Huns really come from?

Mainly people believe that the huns came from the asian stepp! But noone is really sure. Does anybody have any info on this subject?

You're correct in thinking that the Huns are generally attributed to the Asians steppe. However it is assumed that they did not originate there because they are a nomadic people. Unfortunately everything I was able to find attributes them to this area due the fact it is where they are first recorded to exist and their Asian appearance.
