I have always wondered what exactly happened regarding the whole Israel-Palestinians conflict. Why can't this be solved and is "controlling a location" more important to people than the lives of thousands?
I found an interesting link that explains the whole history pretty well:

news.bbc.co.uk...

And I am wondering what you all think about it, and I have a few questions for y'all.
First of all.

1. Who is right in your opinion?
To what point can events that happened hundreds of years ago, be an excuse for any violence today?
How can it be that a christian nation (supposed christian) chooses violence over compromise? Is compromise even possible with a group of people that chooses terrorism as a way to make their voice heard?
Can everyone ever be satisfied?

2. To what point do terrorists speak for a lands point of view, and not their own? Who are these terrorists, where do they come from and who makes them believe suicide and murder is the solution? Is terrorism the ultimate form of cult-like brainwashing? Or is it the last resort for a group of desperate people?

I hope we can try to stay on topic, and base opinions on facts (see link) to investigate this problem.

Terrorism in the Middle East is so closely related to Islam IMO. They seem to be one and the same, trying to justify the murder of civilians through religion is total bull#. The terrorists main goal isn't to get a Palestinian state but it is to eliminate all Jews. Their religious ignorance is what's keeping them from getting their own state.

So the conflict about Israel is just used as an excuse for the slaughter of Jews through suicide bombings?
In that case Israel would be right in defending its people and country whatever the costs may be...

Yeah thats my opinion also all terroism from the middle east seems to be people claiming to be Muslims and for Islam ect or some other religious faction of Islam

But to be honest that dosnt give the Isrealites the right to get trigger happy and not face the consiquences

Also to be honest i dont think god gives a toss which "Faction" on earth owns what land as its suppost to be a collective race

It comes down to Zionism. The Zionist movement is about returning jews to their homeland, Israel, but the Muslims don't agree with Zionism. Zionist want the jews to live in the land God gave to them, but muslims want the land too. I don't understand why both sides don't live in peace cause both religions follower the same God.

Yeah

If people followed god instead of Religion then it would be a better place

maby thats party what the bible meant by

"You cannot serve 2 masters"

As if people are following religion blindly or using their religion to justify their acts by god which isnt what god means they are servering a text not a god

I think, of the top of my head, the Koran refers to christians, jews as "people of the book" and states that Allah will build a special place for them in heaven.

Again, this topic has been covered so many times it really isn't funny.

Please, browse through the Pit, current events, Religion, and read. If the convoluted disagreements are not clear enough, post a reply on one of the numerous preexisting threads. This maya keep some of us who have been here longer than a few months from typing information for the 101st time!

And, you will see that we have solved the crisis many times, but nobody takes our advice.
