Consider this: 99% of predictions are complete B.S. and never happen

The other 1% are flukes.

Edit to add

topic writer has absolutly no source reference or evidence of anykind
so why give him the benifit of the doubt? Use your brains.

Disregarding whether this really means the end of the world or not, these are the problems I have with apocalyptic news in general:

1) 100 % of it so far has failed to come true.

2) It gives people an excuse to exclaim we're all doomed, and so justify their own inaction.

3) Whoever calls for a doom, but is ignored, immediately thinks he/she is morally superior and important, e.g. "I'm telling you people we're all going to die tomorrow, but you just won't listen." Tomorrow that person is a forgotten hipster, but that's another story.

4) It steals focus from more important issues that are sure to bring real world consequences.

5) Our world isn't going anywhere, except down in the Third World gutter. If there was a button we could press to blow up the world today, I'm sure there'd be lots of people ready to do it.

In a week or so all talk about a coming black hole apocalypse will end, and instead we'll start preparing for a mass invasion of gay aliens or try to expose the secret technological reality of Matrix. But opposed to everybody else who are throwing their hands in the air and screaming for a saviour to save us from redemption, I don't have time to worry about the end of the world. Even if I was to anticipate such a world death tomorrow, I'd still be at home, cooking my family some good food, and kissing my children goodnight.

Doomsday theories are just like entertainment: they provide the thrill and excitement that is currently lacking in the monotonous lifestyle of modern man without actually threatening or challenging them to do anything (just like an action film would do!). It is obvious that many people are simply bored.

Perhaps the biggest curse of "corruption" is that it is not a tangible offensive enemy that you can stand up and fight against. Day-to-day discipline is the only cure and unfortunately that is appealing, exciting and glorious only for those with the vision to see the long-term effect of their actions (quality of character).

Have you bothered to read a word of this thread or are you just an imbecile, spouting off in blind ignorance having read the title?

It seems the total fear mongering threads have started backup....just in time for spring. How many threads are there now on this subject. It's March now I see.
Before it was February, then January, then Christmas. Then we had the we are going to bomb Iran threads that was from one month to the next....guess what we still have not bombed Iran. Then recently the thread about the supposed false flag op that was going to happen at the Olympics...that did not happen as well. Planet-x,2012,end of days, solar kill shot,anti-Christ, the list is endless......doom and gloom. I am keeping true to my New Years resolution at least....I will not be sucked into this tripe anymore. It breeds negativity and anxiety. I am looking on the bright side of things from now on.Call me sheeple if you want at least I will live a long life now.

Im all for these threads, sure... but if they turn out to be fake/BS/fearmongering, it should result in a BAN, because there is enough # going on in the world as it is without people making up false stories just for the pleasure of it!

and there has been a lot of this lately, which we can do without.

There's nothing wrong with the Dollar collapsing. If anything it will help our cause! We're going to have to basically start from scratch, because we've screwed up so bad. There isn't enough money to pay off any debts, so we'll have to erase them, and if we erase them, we can start new! Too bad it had to get this intense before we could make a change.. But I just think it's all part of a new beginning.

Not to be mean, but, you must be delusional. There won't be any starting over. Its not like the idea of our country declaring bankruptcy. Its not that simple.

WHERE WHEN AND HOW?

Fear Mongering.

Why is this on the front page of ATS?

OP please change your headline, edit confirmed and Doomsday, so we can have an discussion on the merits of the information you bring (which again as I said, I am not disputting any of the links or the thrust for your argument that a further collapse is likely and in the UK)

Cmon OP we are better than "Other Forums" because we try and seek the truth and use well sourced factual info.

Kind Regards,

Elf

No, then you just make up a new name when this doesn't come true with a brand new date etc..

I am sure this has happened more than once.

And if it doesn't?

Will you get to pick a new date for Doomsday?

Its not just as easy as creating a new ID if your IP gets banned from the forum, only way around that is through proxies and tbh, proxies suck because they are so slow.

Wow! I just went to delete 2 little characters and my whole post got deleted. It was a longgy too! so ill just be quick this time. could this be the start of the supposedly coming "war of repossession"? for those who dont kno of this it shouldnt be too hard to look up. at least for those of us who are not using their phones to post (forgive me for not looking up more myself but it would be much quicker for those of you on a pc or even a laptop)
But I can tell you that the story I read said that the Iraq war was because Saddam owed these elitist bankers some money and couldnt pay. And the same is supposed to happen to America. Apparently these people can make anyone go to war with anyone and they will do anything to get paid back what is owed. I don`t remember but it could have been one of those famous books by Russ Kick

REFERENCE EXAMPLE: news.bbc.co.uk...
- Retail sales have suffered one of their worst ever slumps in the first couple of months - reported a couple of days ago.

Bunk! No indication of where, when how the date 3/24/10 as a date for collapse of the economy. Anyone can be a crackpot.

The OP must have a problem getting attention the normal way, thus the OP has to razzle-dazzle people with a date for our demise.

Date setters are why ATS'ers aren't taken seriously. Grow up and get a hobby to keep yourself occupied.

I'm not sure about you, but I feel the 24th is a potential tipping point rather than doomsday..
