Theoretical Reason Myans Stopped Tracking Time

So you are saying the Earth is only around 20,480 years old?


THere is no proof or even a source that I can find that says anything about this being the 4th cycle and others ending in disaster.

By the end of the first cycle a Jaguar came by and ate everyone on Earth. The second cycle ended in air, the third in fire, the fourth in flood. Just google it.

But still, life goes one! The earth will be transformed, that's all.
Like it has been doing for ages.

It's simple, we had y2k, no one bothered to program computers to track years past 1999, so the same with the Mayan calendar...
