The way Dylan nailed the ABC reporter just shows that Dylan is totally savvy to the corporate news scam. Dylan stepped outside the "framework of debate" as Chomsky calls it -- thereby undermining the ABC agenda. Then Dylan turned the tables on the reporter, exposing that ABC is not doing their job -- investigating the 911 scandal....

If you subscribe to Noam Chomsky then you should know that Chomsky does NOT subscribe to these riciculous "inside job" claims, depite all the conspiracy people begging him to the contrary. His reasoning is simple- Bush and his henchmen foul up everything they touch, and there's no way they could have pulled any such conspriacy off even if they wanted to. Even if they NEEDED to.

Um, the fact that there is such a HUGE truth movement should tell you two things: 1) They didn't pull it off, and 2) he (Chomsky) is therefor right, only furthering the argument that it WAS an inside job.

It's a snowball.

No, actually, it tells me that this is really the first time that these goofball conspiracies had such a large playground to romp and play in. With the moon landing, everything was open and above board so the "moon landing was a hoax" people are having a hard time gettign anywhere, while the JFK assassination has some pretty strange things in it but it's still plausible that an irate former marine corps sharpshooter can pick off a guy out in the open with a battle rifle. The 9/11 attack OTOH has a lot of pretty strange things in it, from planes being used in suicide attacks to weird terrorist cults to fires bringing down buildings to the gov't keeping its info on Bin Laden hush hush. Not to mention, it was probably the most monumental event that shaken the US since the Challanger explosion.

That's not to say there's necessarily anything genuinely suspicious about it, but to a lot of people with abject paranoia, a lack of information necessarily means something sinister has to be going on. Add on the fact that there are hordes of outright con artists and snake oil peddlers (I.E. Dylan Avery) pushing out paranoid drivel to milk the conspiracy people for a quick buck, how can a 9/11 conspiracy movement NOT come out of the woodwork to fill in the vaccuum?

Don't lose the message, just because the messenger is a douche. That would be short-sided.

So what if he is a snake oil salesman. That doesn't mean he's wrong. He's just a pompus ass.

It's not only the snake oil peddlers ruining the credibility of the truther movement. It's all the evidence that shows what they're saying is wrong, from the steel at ground zero showing no signs of sabotage, to Mohammed Atta's friends testifying he was a complete sociopath, to experts from MIT to Perdue to even the University of Edinborough all subscribing to the thermal expansion scenario, to even the Saudi gov't confirming the hijackers were Saudi nationals and are listing them as dead. I don't know what the evidence the US gov't has showing Bin Laden was behind it, but I do know we gave it to our NATO allies and they found it credible enough to invoke article 5.

There's only so far that accusing everyone from Pentagon taxi drivers to real estate developers to the NYFD of being secret gov't agents can go before it starts wearing thin.

Search up the history behind RMS Lusitania. It was basically a 9/11 but they used innocent people and a cruise liner to ship weapons to Europe. German sub blew up the ship and america tried to place the blame on Germany to go to war. After an investigation, they got caught because of illegal american weapons were aboard that ship. They got caught and apologized to the world and american public. Since then they have perfected their ways. That was the first instance that america tried to place innocent lives in danger.

I never can understand OSers.
