I was thinking to my self the other night how sweet it would be to proof a point in the fashion that you just made your point...

I get a lot of time to think to my self, you know! Ever since i can't watch my favorite TV shows anymore....I used to have a much less complicated life but it all went wrong when i changed the batteries of my remote control.

I don't know what's wrong with it but instead of me controlling the remote control, I think it now controls itself....

I wanna see Futurama, it wants to see American Chopper. Guess what we're watching? I have tried everything but the thing is just pure evil!!!

When i put it in another room or trow it away, it always returns. Right there on the coffe table. I tried opening it up to remove the batteries but it will not allow me access.

So i guess I'll just wait untill the batteries run out.......

Anybody else have any experience with on the fritz household appliances?

Orange Duck

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients:

* ¼ cup granulated sugar
* 2 tablespoons water
* 2 tablespoons Sherry vinegar
* 1 ½ cups orange juice
* 2 tablespoons shallots, minced
* 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
* 4 oranges, sections cut from membranes
* 2 duck breast halves, seasoned with salt and pepper
* ¼ cup unsalted butter
* 2 tablespoons orange zest

Preparation:

Boil the sugar and water for several minutes, until the syrup caramelizes and turns a golden brown color. Add the vinegar, juice, shallots, and chicken stock and simmer until the sauce is reduced to a little less than a cup. Add butter and 1 tablespoon of orange zest. Stir in orange sections.

In a skillet, sear the duck breasts over high heat. Cook the duck for about 9-11 minutes on each side. Pour the prepared sauce over the duck breasts and garnish with the remaining orange zest.
