My Turn to Face the Board

Hello, all. I'm a new member to this community, though in an effort to be completely up front, I was a member for a brief time approximately six months ago (give or take a few months). I cannot remember that login or password, and thus I have created a new account with no intent to use my old one. If a Moderator needs to talk with me further on that, I am more than willing to do so over a private message.

First off, my username is Elvish, and is pronounced (Bay-knee-awn). I also go by Bein or Benny. As you might imagine, I am a fan of fantasy and science fiction, as well as post-apocalyptic scenarios. It is the latter that brings me to this forum.

My interest in conspiracy theories and the like stems from my childhood, when I was first introduced to the trouble the USAF had in 1947 in New Mexico. Ever since then, I've always wondered about aliens and the like, but have never been one to find a conspiracy in every nook and cranny that I peer in.

That having been said, I do not trust any government implicitly, and I certainly tend to "furrow my brow" at authority figures in general. I am a member of a local church, but I don't ever take everything he says as "gospel truth". I am involved in local government, but nothing any politician says is solid all the way through. However, I do believe that many have faltered despite good intentions.

Mostly, I am interested in discussions on "post-apocalyptic" survival, mainly because I am a creative writer. I will spend most of my time in those discussions, and appreciate the intelligent input of others on that subject. Any resources you can suggest would also be appreciated.

For the most part, I am an open person who likes to befriend others. I understand that many are not comfortable with that, and so I'm not pushy, but if you care to make my acquaintance, this thread and my inbox are always open. Feel free to ask anything you yourself are willing to answer.

Hi Beinion, and welcome to ATS. For now you can only reply to any threads in any forums you wish. Once you have reached 20 posts you will be able to start your own threads, you also will be able to send & receive U2U's (messages) to and from the membership. Is my pronunciation off?

I'm a fairly older member of ATS, I have personally seen three ufo's and one alien and I still can't get to the bottom of ET's stuff!

Thank you all for the information and welcome. Currently I'm out of a job, so I spend a great deal of my time hunting for elusive employment. However, I will make an effort to drop by, and when I am gainfully employed, I'll make it a point to stop in when I can.
