I have been a member on ATS for a little over a month now. I have had the privileged of reading multiple threads and viewing/hearing multiple forms of media that have a range of informative, humorous, shocking, sad, angry, out-of-the-box, and some that were just completely bizarre.

My membership however, is a mere drop in the bucket compared to ATS's overall existence. I'd be willing to wager that there have been some threads in the past that have contained any one of the aforementioned attributes, but with time have been buried.

For a sole person to seek this lost knowledge, they would be required to search through each and every thread of all the Boards on ATS. This would be a monumental task of epoch proportion for one individual to achieve.

However, with a combined collective collaboration of the multitude of ATS members this feat is completely attainable via the following request:

My request from my fellow ATS members, at your leisure of course, is to do some digging and post what you deem is/was the BEST thread that you ever had the opportunity of seeing on ATS.

This endeavor will allow for topics that have fallen by the wayside to be exposed to new information, ideas, and opinions. Who knows what that could accomplish.

This should also provide some more variety on the "recent posts" page, which I must admit is where most of my ATS time is spent when not posting in a thread. I personally could never be limited to one Board, I want to see/hear it all.

Thank you in advance to anyone that contributes to this thread.

Good Day!

Maybe we could all get one vote per week or month. Thread of the week or thread of the month. Kind of like a super flagging system.

Perhaps older members could accumulate a few super flags, to disperse to older threads, to disperse based upon thier contributions in the past?

I would be interested in reading some of the best threads of the past.

I suppose that would be one way to bring attention to older posts. I started this endeavor out of pure laziness as far as I can gather. I'll be the first to admit. I just want the opportunity to see a little of what I have missed in past threads.

I think this is a brilliant idea! There could be a few different categories: "Most Thought Provoking," "Best Documented UFO/Paranormal" and "Most Ridiculous FAILED Prediction" I already have a nomination for this last category.
Also, perhaps a "Hoax or Not: YOU Be the Judge."

Indeed, good choices, I have frequented them both, and both are currently on my Top 50 Subscriptions!

I usually participate in the UFO forum and from what I've seen IsaacKoi is tops,

  1. 'Free UFO Researcher Starter Pack'
  2. 'Expert's short list'
  3. 'Top 100 UFO cases - Revealed!'
  4. 'Brief Proof of UFOs'

Though I'd be remiss to not plug this.

I agree, it's all in how you market it, hence the new addition to my signature.

It's the one from waaay back in 2003 by some ex-Priest who went by the ATS moniker of AmadeuS....about 'Iesous' possibly being a Bastard (Mamzer) i.e. Illegitimate as the Reason for the Virgin Birth Myths in the 2 'canonical' (council approved) Greek 'Gospels' of 'Matthew' (whoever he was) and 'Luke' (whoever he was),

He makes the point of the 4th gospel 'John' whoever he was (And they said to him: WE were not born of Fornication, WE know who OUR father is...' as a sneer on Iesous' paternity)

Also the weird phrase:

'for he has looked down upon the sexual-humiliation of his handmaid...'

referring to Miryam of Galilee (Mary) from the poem in the 3rd Gospel known as the the Magnificat,

Also discussed ius the weird fact that there were ONLY 5 WOMEN listed in 'Matthew''s geneology of 'iesous' , and the first 4 were all 'whores' in some way (Rachab the Harlot, Tamar, Bath-Sheba, Ruth and last but not certainly not least in the group of sexual miscreants is, well...Miryam of the Galillee who found herself preggers before her wedding night....

Long Drawn Out Dragged In Knock-Down Discussion but compelling reading just the same...you'd have to peel through a lot of 'new' info for non-theologians and ignore alot of the fundy nonsense talk, but this is one of the best I've seen that tackled a ticklish problem for believers head on...

That is an amazing idea because I feel the same way about threads being lost and then I don't want to take the time to find them

I must say that the variety of threads being posted are awesome. It's great to see all the individual favorites, quite an array, again thank you to everyone. Please keep them coming, plug this thread when you can. I care less about the flags, I just want to see all the interesting threads that get posted. Thus far this thread is going exactly how I had hoped it would.

Keep it up ATS!

Im fairly new here and have been trying to do some searching on ATS for threads that could pertain to what I am currently trying to write about and am having a hard time searching for these lost threads that may contain information I may be able to use. Is there a better more detailed search I can do to find relevent information outside of the google search graciously provided to us in here? Any help from any of you would be greatly appreciated THANK YOU all!

My suggestion, as partial as it is, would be to make a thread asking fellow ATS'ers to post what they feel are good threads that...

pertain to what I am currently trying to write about

I admitted forthright that I was taking a somewhat lazy approach to my own request for threads in the OP. Be that as it may, however from what I have seen there are plenty of fellow members that are more than happy to spread the proverbial "seed of knowledge" on many topics.

So Brotherman, if you've made your initial contribution of at least 20 replies, then by all means make a new thread. I will keep an eye out for it. I would be obliged to contribute any information I could.

Good Luck!
