I don't know if I am just incredibly slow today, or if the fact that I want to look something up that actually matters on the internet isn't allowing me to find what I need.

But can anyone point me in a good direction for finding quality material for researching civilizations like the Sumerians who have artwork of their gods that seem to be men from space.

Any other civilization is helpful too.

Thanks!

Standby. I'm about to post a thread called: The Greatest and Most Unique Collection of Ancient Texts In The World

Start with Phil Platt's Bad Astronomy; he has pages dedicated to claims that the Sumerians were in contact with aliens. You might also want to read books such as The Cult of the Alien Gods and Frauds, Myths and Mysteries. The former is how the fiction of HP Lovecraft influenced claims of ancient astronauts. The latter is a primer on a variety of fringe archaeology claims. Both can be found at Amazon or ABE Books for reasonable prices. While you are at it, get books about the Sumerians by actual archaeologists and historians.

The following links might be helpful too

Skeptic Views of Fringe Archaeology

Bad Archaeology

I know this was probably not the answer you were looking for. However, it is helpful to have an actual understanding about our current archeaological knowledge of the Sumerians, instead of just relying on sources such as Sitchin telling you what our knowledge is.

The old gods were mostly planets and comets.
Only visiting angels and one man were ever not of this world.
See Velikovsky for how things developed in the ancient world before the AD.
What people need is the truth from the last 100 years or so.

Well that depends, do you want information that has been reviewed and accepted for years by archeologists for years?
Or do you just want someone to show you pictures of ancient looking stuff and tell you what you want to hear? Because i can do that.

The above pictured cross has been dated to the year 5,000 BC by archeologists. The symbols to the upper left suggest that the original creators were egyptian but this was found in North america. The cross added in at an estimated date of 3,000BC was cut with such fine percision that we can only guess at what highly technological tools were used. What we have been able to tell so far that the markings on the legs of the men the cross covers up show scales. This is evidence of an early reptilian influence, the symbols on the left translates to
Form above came Gods
Gods formed from Snakes
Far beyond that [dammaged]

Do you want me to make up more stuff for you?

I dont want anything made up.
I guess I should have worded everything better because the information I had asked for was more or less me hearing rumors. I was wondering if this was true and then for links or possible literature based on what I had heard.

My apologies.

I do want information that has been reviewed and accepted for years by archeologists.

Hi OP, and all,

There's an excellent book, actually ring-binded 11"x9" ,available or was back in /98. Written by a Peter.S.? With red venations off the original paragraphs, which were written by I don't have a clue. But they made two different notes Red and Blue notations were on the mark.

For example, Arnold's sighting of nine craft..'they declared and agreed was ships attached together in a sort of learning mode'. Which the two also agreed through saying those craft were "mowing the Lawn"....

You' all know why Arnold was there? A U.S. Military fixed winged troop aircraft crashed on the south east side of the mountain range.

Anywho, it does deal with abunch of stuff starting with Lemurians midway through Sumerians and it was quite frightful. It did not mention Myans and their history.

BTW: THe person, I think Professor?, Peter Sturson or Sturnson?? was found a little after writing that essay and it being published, dead in his idling car. Along with a vehicle repair-shop hose from the tail pipe into the passenger window.

Sumerian Gods?

Crystalinks is a great place to start.

The site has the names of Gods and some pictures too. Maybe the men from space you mention can come out of researching the names.
