Interesting story, chickens being David and the fox being Goliath. As the fox had been constantly causing havoc in the the chicken coop and killed several birds at christmas it makes you wander wether these animals feel the emotion of revenge after seeing there friends being devoured by this fox. What is everybodys thoughts on it? I think a story like this should make one think twice about just seeing animals as dumb insensitive creatures. The sky link includes an image of the dead fox so for those hardcore animal lovers out there you may want to avoid.

Ha! Stitch that Fox(poor critter really).

I had chickens a years back, and the Cockrel was called "white assed Henry"-and he used to chase cats off on a regular basis..He was a tough ol thing..Sadly a Buzzard got him eventually, but knowing Henry he didn't go quietly-Thats how I knew a Buzzard got him in fact, from the feathers, most chicken,a good few buzzard.

RIP Henry,you tough SOB.

Yep,maybe I should...They take no nonsense those fox killers.
Bet the eggs will sell like crazy now, with a bit of marketing.
I got attacked by an irate cockerel at a farm once, got a nice hole in my shin from the bastard.
Good as a guard dog,and harder to defend against in some ways,as I found out.

Hehe, forgot about these ace BTS icons!

I had a tough little cockeral once. His name was Henny Penny (Mr. Henny Penny when we realised she was a he). He was half Silkie-half Pekin(Cochin). He certainly took after his Pekin dad! He was the sweetest little thing before puberty, but after puberty...well not even I, the one who protected him from my old laying hens(chickens can be real jerks to newcomers), could get near him without him attempting to take a huge chunk out of me. So this is not really surprising to me.
