Serial killer in the making' jailed for life

A college lecturer once described by police as a serial killer in the making was jailed for life yesterday for murdering and dismembering a teenager, dumping his limbs in Loch Lomond and his head in the sea.

William Beggs, 38, was found guilty by majority verdict after a 17-day trial at the high court in Edinburgh of killing Barry Wallace, 18, a supermarket shelf-stacker, of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, in December 1999.

The trial judge, Lord Osborne, said Beggs should serve a minimum of 20 years. He said it had been "the most distressing of cases and appalling of offences".

It was Beggs's second conviction for murder and mutilation. His first conviction was overturned in 1989. He was also jailed in 1991 for a razor attack on a man who warned that Beggs would strike again. It is thought police may now reopen investigations into the disappearance of other young men.

Beggs trained in public administration at Teesside Polytechnic and dabbled in politics, becoming regional chairman for the Federation of Conservative Students.

He was invited to Downing Street for a Burns Night supper and told friends it had fuelled his desire to become an MP. He was on the far right of the Tory party and there were reports that he had connections with the National Front and had joined Ian Paisley's anti-gay campaign Save Ulster From Sodomy.

(2009) LABOUR FIGURES’ BIZARRE LINK TO PAEDOPHILE GROUPS

Their involvement with an organisation to which two groups campaigning for the legalisation of paedophilia were affiliated has come back to challenge three leading Labour Party figures.

Before she became an MP, Harriet Harman was the legal officer in the late 1970s for the National Council for Civil Liberties. When Miss Harman joined NCCL in 1978, PIE, the Paedophile Information Exchange, had already been affiliated for three years. Another group, Paedophile Action for Liberation, a Gay Liberation Front offshoot, had also been affiliated to NCCL until it was absorbed by PIE. PIE, which campaigned for adults to have sex legally with children, only broke off its relationship with NCCL when it went undercover in 1982, the same year that Harriet Harman left her NCCL post to become Member of Parliament for Peckham.

NCCL people were earlier involved in keeping the name of an NCCL council-member, Jonathan Walters, out of the People newspaper when it ran an exposé of Paedophile Action for Liberation, of which he was secretary, in 1975. The People still ran the story, but Walters was not named.

Even more extraordinary is the fact that a current Cabinet Minister was running the National Council of Civil Liberties at the time all this was going on.

The Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt MP, Secretary of State for Health, became General Secretary of NCCL in 1974. The very next year, 1975, NCCL invited the Paedophile Information Exchange and Paedophile Action for Liberation to affiliate. In the year after, 1976, the now-notorious paedophile Tom O’Carroll was invited to address the NCCL conference, which promptly voted to ‘deplore’ the use of chemical castration treatments for paedophiles.

Also in 1975, Patricia Hewitt joined the Campaign for Homosexual Equality, as a ’straight’, in the same year that Keith Hose of the Paedophile Information Exchange addressed its second annual conference. Hose moved a motion of censure on the conference organising committee for ‘relegating paedophilia to ancillary status in conference.’ The motion was seconded by Trevor Locke, who just happened to be a member of the Executive Council of the NCCL. ‘An awareness and acceptance of the sexuality of children is an essential part of the liberation of the young homosexual,’ the motion went on. It was duly passed.

Jack Dromey, whom Harriet Harman married in 1982, and who is now Treasurer of the Labour Party, was also involved with the NCCL. He served on its Executive Committee from 1970 to 1979, so he was there when the decision to invite the two paedophile groups to affiliate was made. NCCL also set up a gay rights sub-committee at the same time, members of which included prominent paedophiles Peter Bremner (alias Roger Nash), Michael Burbidge, Keith Hose and Tom O’Carroll. And of course Walters and Locke were on the Executive.

Stephen Green, National Director of Christian Voice, commented: ‘It is timely that the ghosts of the 1970’s past should come back to haunt these three leading Labour Party politicians. Harriet Harman, Jack Dromey and Patricia Hewitt were in their mid- or late-twenties at the time, but that cannot really excuse the way NCCL came to regard paedophiles as an oppressed minority whose civil liberties needed to be fought for.

‘All three of them really need to explain why they were so friendly toward so many out campaigning homosexual paedophiles in their youth. Why did they allow the NCCL gay rights sub-committee to be stuffed with them? Why were they happy to work with paedophilia supporters on the NCCL Executive? It cannot have been sympathy with child-molestation, so was it a complete lack of judgment or was it moral cowardice?

‘NCCL has now been rebranded as ‘Liberty’ and is doing great work standing up to the Government to defend the civil liberties of us all. But thirty years ago some rather peculiar things went on, and I think we should be told why.’

So friends in high places have links to paedophiles going way back.

Every single MP in the uk and every single mainstream media has been told about Hollie's case - why don't they report it?

I don't know much about this guy it's dedicated to, but it appears as if most membrs on the Wall agree the info section was changed by a hacker.

and this group is still there, still has the same text and still has posts such as these from its creator----

To some extent I can understand the difference. Children are easy to lure into doing things that they might regret later on. But in Cambodia there are many examples of children who have thanked adults for the sexual education.

Does the fact he has now joined Hollie's group and is asking for tapes of her turns your stomach? The posts are being left there for now as he is being reported to the police and we want them to see his harrasment, seeing as facebook have so far FAILED to remove this person or his group, despite being inundated with complaints against him.

Or facebook help support paedophiles!

Facebook 'putting children at risk' by snubbing paedophile panic button

Facebook was accused last night of putting children at risk by snubbing the official paedophile 'panic button'.

Both the Home Secretary and the mother of murdered schoolgirl Ashleigh Hall condemned the website for refusing to implement the system.

Alan Johnson said he could not see 'any good reason' why - unlike other social networking sites - Facebook will not sign up to it.

And 17-year-old Ashleigh's mother Andrea Hall said sites such as Facebook, which has five million British teenage users, 'can never do too much' to protect the vulnerable.

The panic button allows children who fear they are being targeted by an online paedophile to receive expert advice at the click of a button - and, crucially, their complaints can then be investigated by the police.

Last night it also emerged that human rights laws are stopping the Government from implementing powers to force sex offenders to disclose their online identities.

The developments came after revelations of how Ashleigh was killed and dumped in a ditch by serial rapist Peter Chapman - who was supposedly under police supervision.

The pair met on Facebook, where Chapman had posed as a handsome, bare-chested young boy to lure Ashleigh into his trap.

Yesterday, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, which set up the panic button, revealed there were 115 cases last year where children believed they were being groomed on Facebook.

Our group and others have reported many times to facebook a group posing as a tree friendly organisation but states in the info that they are promoting paedophilia. facebook have done nothing so we hope the police now will as the sick f*** came to out group to harass us. They took details and also referred us to an internet reporting site where he has been reported also. after informing him of this he's been deleting his posts on our board but cant delete the ones he replied to but didnt start.

So - are facebook protecting paedophiles - it seems they are!

It is also worth noting that the above named home secretary alan johnson is well aware of Hollie Greig's case as it seems all the letter and emails people have been writing to their mps have been forwarded to him (by the few that bothered to reply). i would ask what HE intends to do about it!

Apology to daughters raped by Sheffield man

Two daughters made pregnant 18 times by their abusive father have received an apology from the authorities who failed to protect them.

The apology was made at a news conference that revealed the findings of a serious case review.

The Sheffield man, who cannot be named, was given a life sentence after admitting 25 counts of rape in 2008.

The review found missed opportunities and collective failures to protect the children over three decades.

It was carried out by safeguarding children boards in Sheffield and Lincolnshire and acknowledged the family had contact with 28 different agencies and 100 members of staff over 35 years, including police, doctors, nurses and social workers.
