HeHe, I love LA. I have spent a lot of time in NOLA and Baton Rouge and I have friends at LSU.
IMO, this is just more of the same preparation we have been seeing. After Katrina, state and local governments got big cash infusions to prepare for
disasters. A lot of new agencies were formed, and plans were made, and everybody started thinking about the next big one.
Things started fizzling with no good disasters for a couple of years, but the economy helped that, and then the big bailout came, and now billions of
more dollars to spend on stuff!
Haiti and Chile have now stoked the fire a little for awhile, and eventually they will want to use all this STUFF, so watch out!!! (I do hope some
crazy patriotic veteran volunteers to run that .50 cal though, we could really use him!)
