From yesterday's exchange between Ron Paul and Ben Bernanke: Ron Paul: ...a lot of cash was passed through - and a lot of people suppose it was passed through the Federal Reserve - when there was a provisional government [in Iraq] after the 2003 invasion. That money was not appropriated by the Congress as required by law...

Ben Bernanke: Congressman, these specific allegations you've made are absolutely bizarre, and I have no knowledge of anything remotely like what you just described.

Let's ask Henry Waxman (July 2009) Henry Waxman: In a 13 month period from May 2003 to June 2004, the Federal Reserve sent nearly $12 billion in cash, mainly in $100 bills from the United States to Iraq. To do that, the Federal Reserve Bank in New York had to pack 281 million individual bills ... onto wooden pallets to be shipped to Iraq. The cash weighed more than 363 tons and was loaded onto C-130 cargo planes to be flown into Baghdad...

Bizarre? Now this is bizarre!

I wonder where that money is now? Very uncomfortable questions continue to be asked....as they should.

R. Paul better have a crack security team...

I love Ron Paul. You can't WRITE stuff like this.

I voted for him, even though I had to write him in. It seemed a more intelligent choice than Obama or M.Mouse. NoneOfTheAbove(NOTA) is a winner in Ron Paul's absence.

Hey... maybe I should run for president again.... hmmmm.....

I watched this and wondered what he was talking about as well.

After the break the commentators grouped him and Cynthia McKinney (SP?) into the same basket. Actually she asked some idiotic questions, she is an idiot IMO, but they wrote him off as a fool as well.

Never heard anything before about this or after.

It's almost like a perfect plot for a Three Kings sequel!

Obviously the money's long gone by now though...

Wonder if that was the real WMDs ?

Good Question

I have to wonder if Big Ben really knew what he was talking about.

You can rarely ruffle Uncle Ben, he can act like a statue sometimes, but that is as close as I have seen him.

Can/Have you looked this information elsewhere to confirm what he was talking about?

I do like RP, but he did come off super crazy sounding I must say, but that was as close to a NWO question as there is.

Why isn't it possible to arrest these peopple for theft? If they steal trillions of dollars it doesn't count? If they destroy our country, it's ok? It is time to end the FED before it is too late.

I have been referencing this constantly for almost two years - it was raised by New Yorker journalist - seymore hersche - it was diverted to the CIA to be used for covert operations against iran - its pretty much part of common knowledge - not sure how this isnt known by US senators - how embarrassing. I can assure you the CIA isnt goign to come out and remind them where it went. What a laugh.

Thanks to the OP! Most don't want to know or just don't care how we are being hoodwinked! I'm really not caring who brings this to our attention. Wrong is wrong!

God forbid anything happening to Ron Paul, although he is getting up there in age, and enemies of the CIA don't live forever....Can you imagine the public scrutiny if he were to have an accident? OS wouldn't even matter.

Thank you folks for posting the videos. I am neutral on R. Paul. I have been so jaded and disillusioned by recent political movements that seemed to have some hope that I can't really bring myself to acknowledge that *anyone* can effectively do the job.

That being said, these are pretty serious accusations and to have Bernanke turn around and say "You can see transcripts of any of our meetings" doesn't truely address the issue. It was a clear deflection. Real transparency is being able to crack open the ledgers and account for the money.

Hard to believe there are people who still haven't heard about all this cash that was sent to Iraq. William Gibson, who wrote the book "Neuromancer", which many would credit for having conceived of the concept of the internet, wrote a book about this.

The thing is, chances are that all this cash, or at least most of it, was serialized, so it should be traceable. If Paul is asking for this money to now be traced, then he is trying to take some action, otherwise, he is just trying to score political points.

It is almost comical listening to Bernanke's responses to Ron Paul's inquiries about the FED and this shipment of CASH to Iraq.

First of all , if you actually believed the story we were told by the NEOCONS that we , the US went into Iraq only to rid the world of that Evil Iraqi, Saddam Hussein and for bringing about Freedom to the IRAQI people.

Then I have a BRIDGE to sell you.

I mean, you need untraceable cash, in American $100. bills.

How else are the Iraqi government going to be paid off to maintain control of the Iraqi puppet governnment as well as to funnel more business towards American Oil corporations ?

How are Halliburton and Blackwater (Xe) employees going to pay for their prostitutes and booze ? With their credit cards ?

It is also funny reading this now, almost 10 years later when back during the 2004 election I would shake my head in amazement at all of the half wit Americans who bought the entire post 9/11 NEOCON war on terror garbage, Hook, Line and Sinker. Proudly donning their "W" bumper stickers on their pickup trucks. Chanting gleefully , "Four More Years, Four More Years" !

"Four more years of what I used to ask...?"

Well folks, there you have it, now after 8 years of war and a bankrupt nation, where the only people continuously getting richer upon the backs of ever poorer Americans are the NEOCONS and their ZIONIST cohorts. I hate to say it but I could have told you so.
