Jeeze... you sure seem to be unnecessarily confrontational. Firstly, I don't recall saying anything about who is or isn't worthy to live (or that your or my or anyone else's life is the problem at birth. The problem is due to our collective self serving denial of any form of accountability
), so you can reflect on who is being sensationalistic here. Secondly, our Capitalist system is set up to balance supply with demand...look it up
. If we don't buy something, they make less... better yet someone may try to sell us an alternative we like, for example: cellulose based plastics. The failed systems set up by our parents grandparents and so on are the problem. This is our world and we have the right (maybe the responsibility) to correct these mistakes in an era of changing lifestyles. Catch words like 'sensationalistic', and reading falsities into someones comments wont win you any debates, bub.

The plastics look as if they were ground up prior to being dumped in the Atlantic. Is there anywhere on the east coast in which it costs money to recycle plastics? Is there a state which charges companies for their plastic waste? If that answer is a yes then a motive is there to grind up the plastics and dump them out at sea.

I apologise for coming across as confrontational.

It was not my intention.

I live along the Ohio river and I can attest to the fact that plastic debri is going to choke this planet. I see it everyday a seemingly endless stream of plastic bags and bottles. The other manmade waterway killer is styrofoam it breaks up into small round particles that cover everything. It should be noted that anytime someone leaves a plastic bottle on the ground anywhere rainwater, streams then rivers will carry it to the oceans..

Using boycotts as part of a larger strategy is a good idea. Isn't there an organism that is being used to clean up oil spills? Maybe that is a good first step!
