Lets say that everyone has woken up to the political madness going on in the US... then what is the next thing to do? And you that are already woken up (if that is the term you use), what is it that you're doing now about the political madness going on in the U.S? You do see that there is no more WE THE PEOPLE. Do you bring WE THE PEOPLE BACK, or do you move forward and onto something else that is better than WE THE PEOPLE?

Would any of you say that you have a voice in this country? If so, then what are you doing with it that is effective to cut the political madness some if not whole?

Resistance to the status quo! Stand up in all places peacefully and defend what is right and just for the betterment of all of us. I don't care if this happens to be at work, at school, or in social situations. Stand up for each others basic need to live a peaceful life. Let's try to be civilized for once, taking matters into our own hands and joining in the defense of fellow citizens that feel they have been wronged by our system. Let's get away from ideals of the past that have been designed to split our focus, and let us be concerned with the pleasure of life and how it can be joyful once again.

The problem will be is when you stand up you will be persecuted and scorned by the ideals of others locked into the status quo. Let us not fool ourselves...half the people waking up have only just started and merely found themselves altering their opinions and views to another status quo way of thinking. When true awakening occurs many ideas will be presented without much resistance. Then we can look at all the ideas and decide to mix them together to make it more enjoyable for all of us. We control everything. Where it is not fair to one is where we should be standing up for. Each has their own truth, the way they see it...and all points are valid, except in that they come from a position to control anothers view.

If every single person, simultaneously, came to the same realization that there are forces at play in our lives that we do not control but have control over us and that many of our problems are caused by these forces?

I highly doubt that any significant voice will be heard within the masses that can quell their anger fast enough and you would see mass riots, revolts, and protests in every major city in the country. A lot of people may die or at the very least end up getting hurt. I highly doubt those responsible for our problems will be in the country within 2 hours of this happening, they will likely have left the country by then.

Sheep, awake, asleep, etc etc, none of that matters

As long as there are people in this country that believe Government, for the most part, is a good thing, then our current system will continue onward.

Personally, i hate paying taxes, because it goes to things like welfare...and i hate helping out lazy people more than anything on this planet.

But i also like roads, fire trucks, and police protection.

I take the good with the bad, because i realize you can't always get what you want.

I'm curious - please describe, in detail, what type of government YOU envision as being perfect.

So you believe a completely broken, rusted machine missing a handful of parts and that is jerry rigged with paper clips and duct tape to stick together...well hey it's just fine, lets just change the color from blue to red or red to blue, that'll make it work better!

I like this thinking that because people think our government is currently broken that we need a radical new system in place to fix everything. That isn't the case. The machine was fine before it got #ed up, lets just order the new model that just came out and replace the old one with the new one. Then lets make sure that the people who #ed up the last machine doesn't # up the new one.

Apparently this is too complicated and any assertion that this government needs to be fixed means we're going to bring about a GLORIOUS SOCIALIST UTOPIA or some Anarchists wet dream.

Stop being thick headed.

You sound very optimistic....but when one presents the "idea" that dinosaurs existed how many people will refute that--quite a few from what I have seen? People still refute the idea the MKUltra was a real conspiracy despite evidence...I think the problem is putting things in perspective, people can wake up one day and say, "man things are getting tough"...but without any truthful history in the arsenal or news gathered from the MSM or worse yet, the idea the God will take care of the problem (whatever the problem is) how can you say there isn't resistance....yes people will still cling to their guns and Bibles (period)

Touche...yes a lot depends on real truth being told. I say start standing up to truths you know to be true and allowing others to say their opinion. When we respect anothers opinion it improves the relationship between opposing views. Common ground should work similarly in that whatever we have common ground on should automatically be implemented. Most all of us do not want to pay skyrocketing prices on medical care. Anyone that does probably has an interest in making fees for medical care higher. There is nothing wrong with starting the common ground giving a tax break to both employers and employees off their income taxes when paying for health insurance costs.

I say start on the common ground. All companies that provide 100% medical insurance costs to their employees pay no income taxes on their employees. But then the government would have to reduce their spending and this seems highly unlikely. Then the left would yell that the plan the employer provides isn't good enough. The right would yell that there should be no income tax. Even though neither side is willing to let the people benefit from a common solution that benefits everyone.

Stop being thick headed.

you make all these simple minded accusations, but you are still unable to give us the example of "perfect government" that you expect.

Why did you completely ignore this part of my post:

I'm curious - please describe, in detail, what type of government YOU envision as being perfect.

Don't have an answer? Or just know that you're wrong?

Truth is relative, really. What I do know that I have found works in politics (using Malcom X and MLK jr as an example)--is that with X's radical way of proposing change, this allowed for Kings's less radical (in at least his presentation of change) to be implemented. So my outlook on politics is just that---make your proposals way more radical than what is actually needed for those in the middle (for the centrists I suppose you can say) and hope that the unnecessary parts of bills like the healthcare bills and other important ones on the table get watered down---unfortunately the radical screamings of those in the MSM and even non-mainstream people like Alex Jones...get the "people" all riled up and what is Congress to do but listen to the people who have listened to other people who have listened to others and so on?

You know at this point we need some breakthrough that shatters all beliefs. Maybe only then we would have respect for each other to sit down and make things function more properly. Truth is relative, as you mentioned.

Interesting...can you elaborate on what such a breakthrough might be?

A break through could be a collective realization that the system is not working as intended. A break through could be a scientific find that defies all previously held beliefs. A break through could be politicians being found on corruption on a massive scale. A break through could be corruption linked to the beliefs held by religions. A break through could be acknowledgment of UFO's, or discovery of life in our universe. A break through could be uncovering a global plot of such magnitude that it would cause people to never trust information they receive from 'creditable' sources.
