Even when you buy your home and pay off the mortgage it is never truly yours...try not paying your property taxes and see what happens...even if you own it clear from the bank...the city or state will take it. Same thing with a car.

And even with the taxes paid in full if the city or state needs it (or thinks it can get higher taxes for it from a developer)...imminent domain can take it regardless.

Freedom is a rhetorical device. And, yes we have more "rights" here in this country than in many, and it is still among the best places to live but make no mistake about it...

feedom it is not.

The very fact that we have "rights" proves that simply because; rights are given, denied or taken away.
