Good Morning fellow ATSers. I need some help/advise. I know this question has been asked repeatedly here, and I think I have read just about all of them, but have yet to find a solution that works for me.

I have felt, for a very long time, that there is a kind of veil in my mind keeping me from tapping into my full potential. There are times when it feels as though a corner of the veil is lifted and I catch a glimpse of what I am capable of. It is in these instances that I have moments of great insight, visions (though very rarely), epiphanies and on the rare occasion "psychic ability" (though that may not be the best choice of words, it is usually more like intuition about a particular person. By that I mean I can "read them like a book". I can understand or feel what they are experiencing even when they do not outwardly reveal it.).

My frustration comes from knowing that veil is there and not being able to get rid of it. It is almost like a physical sensation of being restrained. To put it another way, its like when you buy an new movie or CD that you really wanted but you can't get that stupid sticker off the top. You know there is something inside that is good and will bring you a lot of joy, but there is something keeping you from it. That is how I feel.

My question for all of you is: how can I lift away this veil? I've read about meditation and mind altering substances as a couple examples. I've tried meditation, all that seems to happen afterwards is deep feelings of sadness. I do not want to try any types of drugs, I don't like the idea of putting any additional chemicals in my body. I get enough of those from the junk they sell at the supermarket. I have had limited success with "self hypnosis" audio tracks, but have yet to find one that provides the desired effect. I have read about bi-neural beats, but have not tried that avenue yet. Has anyone had any experience with them? Good or Bad?

Many thanks to those of you that take the time to respond!

Step 1:

Meditation, daily.

Step 2:

Living the moment, finding love in every moment, the moment contains love.

Step 3:

Immediatley recording all points remembered from dreams, this will lead you to start conciously and subconciously remembering your dreams effectively.

Step 4:

Remember why your here, who/what you are, where you are, and live according to the answers that you trek upon.

And must importantly, again, live in the very present moment.

Thank you! Very Zen.
Seriously though, it was very helpful. I will take your advise to heart. Thank you.

I've let a lot of negative feelings take over lately. I really need to purge those, that will probably help my "mission" greatly.

Frustrating, isn't it?

I always compare it with looking at the night sky. Because of averted vision some stars can be seen better with the naked eye by not looking directly at them but from the corner of your eye...

You can see something better by not looking at it....(does that make sense??)

Same goes for the veil in your mind that is keeping you from tapping into your full potential. If you focus on it the "veil" the only thing you are going to see is the veil. Try focussing on the veil "from the corner of your eye" i.e. looking at it without looking at it.....confused?? So am I.

Good luck...

Peace

Better yet, your subconcious mind knows why your here. So why not ask it?

Contemplate on that deeply from the heart (or heart chakra) in deep meditation.

I for the most part am always in a semi-meditative state, letting the love channel outwards and inwards through me. Breath in, breath out.

I have always thought Krishnamurti has a wonderful gift of cutting through the BS of socienty and religion and provided unique insights regarding Self Realization . You may have seen these on You Tube, but if not you may find them interesting:

This one is more a bio, but contains some interesting background. The other videos include some illuminating talks he gave while alive. Good luck lifting the veil!!

Gi back to meditation and try doing it every day. Yes, proper seated meditation may open many doors for your mind. If you feel sadness then it could be that you are doing something wrong. Meditation is hard to get right, it has taken me many years and I'm still not spot on with it. Mind you I don't give it enough time myself.

Understanding that you are not your body, you are not even your mind, you are emptiness is important. Therefore there is no vail.

Its hard even for me to get this right. But Chi Gung and Tai Chi can help as well as other energy arts.

One of the best meditations I have learned is to imagine an infinite darkness, where you no longer exist, there is only stillness and emptiness. But keep in mind that all distance, all speed, all of time , all of eternity , all that has or ever will be exists at a single moment and a single point all at the same time.

Its meant to awaken you to infinite knowledge....Im not there yet. Hence I still tap away on ATS.

I will define meditation in a way I've heard it several times..

It is thinking of nothing, or everything.

Thinking, thats the word to get rid of. Do not think, listen.

Write down all of your fundamental beliefs about the world and reality in a list. Then go down the list and ask your self where this belief came from. Is it helping or hurting your spiritual evolution?

Your basic beliefs about the world have a major impact on your perceptions of this world. Go back and look at them and you will begin to see how these beliefs are shaping your world. I promise you this will lift the veil.

Before I write...this is my truth and my experience and what helped me, and is in no way THE way to go - just my offer of help...

I think we all got to where we are, due to alot of sychronicities and alot of contemplation.

The thoughts that helped me were/are:

-"You are not a body with a soul, you are a soul with a body";

-This is difficult one, but try to forget every 'truth' you've been told - instead focus on YOUR truth/truths.
Like someone just suggested - figure out what it is you believe and why you believe it.

-Start listening to yourself...if something 'rings' true or resonates with you, then follow it, but always be careful not to just believe something because someone told you.
What resonates for someone else might not for you, there's nothing wrong that - it's just a method or way of thinking to 'push' them on.

-If something resonates for you, research it. If after that research, if you don't 'feel it' anymore, forget it.
Thing is I've read something that sparked my interest and went to research it, only to then see something that resonated even more. This lead to something else and something else etc...

We all go down a set path that we chose before we came here in order to experience as much as possible.
Don't be worried if nothong 'seems' to be working - if you want to step out of the programme, you will!

Take it easy, and don't worry about what you can't control!!!

Again, the above is just my experience and nothing more!

Much love,,,

You will dismiss the veil when you realize that you actually control nothing, and the something is in control.

Good luck.

I have 2 threads under my profile, waking up take works, and manifesting one, both have videos, and songs, sacred geometry, and very important, recommendations for pushing the limits on consciousness, intentions for waking up, and dolphin and whale songs, which take you to a very high frequency, and enable you to access this more.

""I am aware, and know who I am in source, my cosmic nature, and my memories are returning, I am connecting to my higher self, and learning why I've come to this planet, my abilities and natural gifts are activated now, this is manifesting now, and grows stronger each and every day. I am light and love, and wish to see the light in everyone, under the masks we all wear, to reclaim and love every aspect of self in this game of oneness, facing the light the shadow and loving all to wellness. I am growing and evolving, my dna is healing and I will remember. I am tuning out the negative in order to pay attention to that which I need to see."

"I will awaken
I will spread my wings of love and awareness, with memories of who I truly am, and why I have come to this planet.
It is my will and will of the Creator
I fear no evil for I am the light and love of the Creator
I affirm this with my heart and soul
for light gives me strength and I will do what is right, on task, on mission, for love and freedom's win.

I am emerging now into my cosmic self, my true self, with all of my memories and skills. My true self will no longer be silenced. It is so."

Just as a precaution. You mentioned sorrow and sadness. Many people have sorrow under the veil as well. From a past life memory that involved loss of life on a planetary scale there was an incredible river of sorrow. From variuos people who are awakening it seems that various sides of the issue, the duality, are represented on earth.

Sometimes what we really need to do is seek to heal ourselves, to definitively chose light, love and compassion, and so no to anything else, and seek, through heart chakra meditations and chakra meditations to heal ourselves, our pasts.

And honoponopono, raises your frequency as well, and this is about letting go of the duality, the data, recovering, cleansing:

Please hang in there! You are not alone. You are very loved and protected. The sadness is something in your past that you have to clear. Get rid of it. FORGIVE YOURSELF. LOVE YOURSELF. The latter will be a soothing balm to you. As for the veil, I'm still working on it too. Read the Ra material, law of one, it's free and available on the net. I think the Veil will be lifted, when the Prime Creator says it will be lifted. Go with the Flow in all things. Don't fight the flow of energy, go with it. Something beautiful is just over the horizon, too beautiful to even imagine. Keep plugging away and never give up! I send you love. I send you peace. To each and every one of you....peace, love. We are all one.

Spend time in NATURE.

Listen to good MUSIC.

Put your body in MOTION.

Follow your DREAMS.

Open your heart to LOVE.

Learn to control your MIND and your THOUGHTS. Your thoughts are not you, they are a tool that is used by SPIRIT.

Be still. Let go. Open up.

Namaste.

You are the prime creator.

"IT SHALL BE UNDERSTOOD THAT ANY PORTION, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, OF ANY DENSITY OR OF ANY ILLUSORY PATTERN CONTAINS, AS IN A HOLOGRAPHIC PICTURE, THE ONE CREATOR WHICH IS INFINITY. THUS ALL BEGINS AND ENDS IN MYSTERY."

If creation were a body you would not be the arm, the leg, the eyes, but instead the entire body at it's fullest. You are not a part of the creator, you are the creator.

It is up to you to lift your own veil.

The best meditation is called the "small universe" or "microcosmic orbit" -- it's based on music theory -- the 12 notes of the scale are listened to as energy centers along the outside of the body and with each cycle of the scale the energy increases. Here's the book describing the beginning experiences with this practice -- free:

www.scribd.com...

The best tool to practice it is the "Level 1 sitting meditation" c.d. as an instructional tool from springforestqigong.com...

This is one idea, and with string theory, the double slit, meditational experiences, it seems to have a synchronicity with alot of different info. I just have read so many ideas out there, and then the code to the matrix, in the end, you never know where a manipulation could be thrown in. Perhaps I have decided, that I have faith in the Highest Good, something beyond coding or words, but not really a credo at all. I do think we're like cells in the Body of the Creator, one but individual signatures. I like what you wrote, but hold nothing tightly, and prefer to run with "what is", knowing with faith that the Highest Good is good.

I sometimes see hundreds of stars like that but when I look and focus only a few remain.

@ OP As you do.
I Sense And Feel the surrounding Ambience or people.
Never when I try to. Almost always not pleasant.

Thank you all so very much for the great advise! A little update, (in case anyone cares :-P ), yesterday I took a few minutes to meditate and visualize what I am trying to accomplish. I envisioned myself in a large white room with a great, heavy, thick curtain dividing the room in half. I then made myself walk over to one side and pull back the curtain just a little bit, I know I am not ready to pull it all the way yet. From behind the curtain a brilliant white light was shining, it was so bright it was almost blinding. I stood on the outside of the curtain and just looked into the light for a few moments and then brought myself back to the "real world".

Shortly afterwards I began to feel the sadness start creeping back in. It lasted for a few hours. I began to feel worthless and a failure. This experience, combined with the previous day's leads me to believe that, while there may be something great and good behind that veil, there are a lot of "demons" from my past that I am going to have to face and overcome first.

Those feeling of worthlessness finally pasted once I got home from work and saw my wife and kids. Part of me is scared to continue. I'm afraid of what I am going to have to face, but I know I have to.

If it is not too much, I would like to ask all of you to please send me your thoughts and prayers to help the through this ordeal. A true trial by fire. I know it is going to hurt, I know it is going to be hard, but I also know that if I can make it though I will be the much better person for it.

Many thanks again to all of you!

Sonick
