Have you seen UFOs parked in highway median strips?

If you come back this way, all I asked for was a simple drawing of it. Does not have to be fancy. I'm curious about it's shape and what not.

You could scan a drawing or take a pic with a cell phone and post it. If you need help with how, U2U me. I could also do a graphic from a detailed description if you would like?

I do need to remind you all that the poster DID NOT see a Unidentified Flying Object(UFO).

They state it was setting on ground.It could have been ANYTHING.

To assume it was an object that could fly is ludicrous to say the least.

So just why in the hell does it shock anyone that a UFO might pop down to a grassy median and nobody really take notice?

I am a believer... but my family comes first. My attention is being paid, like my bills, so that we eat and stay warm.

That being said... if i had come upon them, i would have first asked if they could spare few gallons of whatever made their ships go. My old truck burns gas like there is no tomorrow...

I was the driver both times. (Please forgive my spelling.) The first time was the summer or 1987. I remember the date because I bought a station wagon so I could take my family on a camping trip to visit a friend who had moved to Tennesse. It was our first trip with the car.

On the way back to PA we saw a parked sauser on the strip of grass between the north and south bands of highway. I"m pretty sure we took Rt 71 to Rt 81 back to the Allentown area. The kid with the camera was out of film. I asked them if they wanted to stop and they both said no.

It was pretty creepy. Two cars were parked on our side of the road and one on the other side of the grass strip. No people were visable. I didn't see anything moving like a bird or a squirrel.

It looked like a typical silver saucer like you would see in the movies and it was about 3 or 4 car widths wide. It was smaller than I expected one to look. I didn't see a door or windows or lights. It was solid silver material. I didn't see any "legs" or supports.

I didn't hear any sounds or feel any vibrations.

There were 2 or 3 cars driving behind me and they didn't stop either.

I never thought she would post. I expected I would be the one to boldly put myself out there. I guess she can no longer remain silent, either.

I was a kid when this happened. I couldn't even drive. She was the one driving the car. She would have stopped if we'd agreed to it. She's that type.

I had a cold, evil feeling in the pit of my stomach and felt that if we stopped we'd never been seen again. There was no way I was going to let her stop that car.

I know technically a UFO is an "unidentified flying saucer." What do you call something that looks like a UFO but is grounded? A UPO? If I had written that, no one would know what I was talking about. I started this post to see if anyone else has seen UFOs on the ground parked.

Oh, I guess I let the cat out of the bag by accident when I said "the kids "didn't want to stop.

I didn't want to imply that Waiting2 cant defend the post. I just got annoyed at some of the responses.

I was driving the second time as well. I had a different car so it was around 1992. I had 3 kids with me. The camera was in the trunk! I can't remember if we were coming back from the Baltimore aquarium or from visiting a friend near Washington. I used to drive Rt 95 fairly often.

We had already passed downtown Philadelphia going north. We were on a section of highway with 5 lanes and I was in the middle lane. Traffic was really slow, maybe 15 miles per hour, and bumper to bumper.

The saucer covered most of the grass on the medial strip. It was much bigger that the first one. There was a news helicopter (channel 3 I think) and some guy on the side of the road with a camera. A bunch of cars were pulled over. I tried to move over and stop but no one would let me in. I guess they were all to busy looking at the saucer.

I was annoyed that I had seen another saucer but couldn't get out and touch it. It felt save because there were so many people around.

Litterly thousands of people had to have passed that saucer. It wasn't on the news that night.

It was big and silver and shinny - just like the other one - only much bigger.

This thread has gotten very little response because it is too odd to be believed. But it is true. I could start a Hoax like "Jesus was a blue alien" or "China doesn't really exist" and everyone would be posting.

Why is it so hard to believe that those things everyone seems to have seen in the night sky could be seen during the day, parked?

I'm wondering why the dadgum sttate patrol didn't give them a ticket for parking in a DOT right of way. My car broke down one time so I pulled in into the median and a cop gave me a ticket for that pretty fast. I had to pay it.

Well in no way do I think what you are saying is untruthful. I do have one question though.

It is 2010 and you say this was late 80s...why did it take you about 20 years to post about it or bring this to anyone's attention?

At that time, people who saw UFOs were seen as crackpots. When it was not on national and/or local television news that evening despite the thousands of people who saw it, we knew better than to announce to the authorities that we, too, had seen it. We did not want to draw any attention to ourselves.

Over the years, I have searched the Internet to see if others have posted about a similar experience but haven't seen any. When I finally discovered ATS, I realized it would be a safe place for me to talk about this in an anonymous fashion.

I created this post to see if others have had similar experiences. So far on this thread, no one has.

Mryanbrown, I do not find your comment constructive or polite. If you do not believe me, fine. However, it is unneccessary to be rude.

While today many people have a camera with them at all times on their cell phones, back then most people didn't even HAVE cell phones. If you were alive during that time, you would know that most people did not carry cameras with them every where they went.

Besides, you missed the point of this thread. This thread is not about pictures. I created the thread to see if anyone else has seen a UFO on the ground.

Thank you for your valid question, your interest, and your kind words. I am truly surprised that others have not come forward with their own accounts of witnessing UFOs on the ground.

Haven't seen any ufos parked on the freeway yet. But we do see aliens on the road occasionally. It's become so problematic that we've had to put up warning signs.....
