If this local currencies thing starts to really catch on, better start stocking up on canned goods and whatever else you need to survive. Obama will be the last president.

One way to make it happen, that anyone in the military knows about, is creating currency based "gift certificates". In the Middle East most bases use POGS with printed denominations on them rather than actual change. The way they get around the law is that the pogs are all considered gift certificates. The same thing could be done with higher denominations of currency.

There's nothing wrong with paying for something with gift certificates, or giving change in them. You just have to make sure that the words "gift certificate" clearly appear on each monetary unit.

Detroit Pistons
God over Michigan

That is cool that they are doing that.

And I CANNOT believe I am the only one on this thread on ATS that has mentioned how Masonic Illuminati-esque that freaking thing looks !

Power to the people indeed. More states need these. And then all of us can succeed from the NWO.

edit for spelling mistake

These towns need to switch to an all electronic form of cash via a debit/credit card. Would lower costs on printing their own currency and presumably they could keep electronic track of how much is in the system at any given time.

Alright, I'm seeing posts on here that are saying that a state having its own currency is a good thing.
Allow me to start off by saying, it is NOT a good idea, at all! How are we supposed to work together as a country if each state pays for things its own way? I AM more sided towards states rightests beliefs...but this is one of the key reasons our country had problems in the beginning! This, the articles of confederation, some ideas were good, but this was a set back for our country.

I am all for states being able to be pretty independent, and I feel states should have stronger rights then the Fed because the state knows what's better for the state and its people rather then the Fed (in my own opinion)
However...there has to be a line. And states having their own currencies IMO is crossing that line. Look back on history folks, you will see that when the colonies were beginning to try to become one, this was a KEY issue. Learn from history, and lets not repeat its mistakes. Too much argument, too much trade problems, etc.

Surely not, if you call them "tokens".

Tokens could still be used to buy items and services, but is it deemed a "currency" in it's own right? Not sure.

I think you may have answered my above questions/comments. Cheers.

California is pretty close to printing their own money when
they mailed out IOUs. Remember?

is this a good or bad thing. Would this state or city money go further since less of it is in circulation?

The article said one of the communities was printing the currency on an old printing press.

I do not understand what is stopping counterfitters from reproducing these notes.

You could always take it one step further and regress to a trade and barter system. That has always seemed more logical to me. I can't eat money. I can't light my house at night with money. I can't wear money. All I can REALLY do with money is owe it to someone else.

Freedom Will Prevail

Good for them.
If it's backed by gold, silver, or land, even better.
Good to see the Constitution get pulled off the shelf and.....not Pulled as in building #7 NYC. Good thing none of my family, relatives were 'murdered' there.

I'll plead #5 on what I would have done, if they were, though I think things would have 'changed' a little quicker to be honest. It truly is amazing what 'one' person can do if they put their mind to it.

Never forget that!
I've seen it in 'action'.
It Is Reality.

David and Goliath rings a bell.

Most are hard of hearing.
By design, of course.
.....though not a 'natural' design.

It's amazing to see the same players on television, In your face.
Quite 'disturbing', no?

It's like a zoo, only they are looking in on You.
But that 'can' change.
.....with true definition of the 'word'.

Yes, star & flag, how ever you do that.
The real revolution starts on April 14 when 50 or 1000 million of Americans dont pay their taxes. This will be real easy to do if everyone decides to not pay. This year or next year. We can wean ourselves off of the Fed and slowly start using barter & trade and the states & city republics can start printing their own money. We just got to commit. Quit paying the extortion money.

Edit: They got the drug business to make money anyways.

This opens the door for 'another' to track your every move and to 'debit' from your accounts, as they please. Even if you were an insider and stood to be as one outside of the fishbowl, looking in, with n~evil grin
, would you want your progeny to inheret that kind of world? If it stands against reason, that is because it Is.....without Reason. "Do unto others as you would have done to you", works because it Is.

No, I don't go around preaching around the street corner.
These things need to be said.
The human psyche needs it.....Bach.
Asap.....if possible

Hah, bah'hum-bug, Martha was a scapegoat with NWO approval and MSM compliance/promotion so the 'real' culprits; the investment houses, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and their rootlings (fertilized by 'rural' Mexican fertilizer) stay out of the kitchen, often in some other country altogether, waiting for their lawyer to do his 'thing'.....Yah.

CCan they getget some jjjjjjjusticcccccce masta.....we we jjust wanna, you know.....live a lil.....who are you Sir.....T t...take ouur...lllllllife. dat aint right.....just aint right.

Even the homeless most often know Right from wrong.
What is a sober man's excuse?
Not enough?
More pie please?
"I" Said! please.

Submit; Subject; Sub-human.
In that order.
And No Respect.
That Is the law of the jungle.
It never went 'anywhere'.
Without Conscience; chaos.
Chaos=jungle

Though I love the chaos of the Jungle, humans aren't monkeys and are 'supposed' to be held to a 'higher' standard. Their intellect and conscience tells them so.....though they have been instructed to wear blinders as shades to filter out the 'real' stuff.

Copy?
Over.....

and may the peaces lie where they may.....

Don't worry; just a vision.
I'm just the spectator.
In a high tower.
Know what I mean?

Stop sending me chills.
Who said that?
I didn't; 's'oul did.

Can I get "V"

.....for Vision; not Victory

Oh, good night folks.

I for one am for more power to states, because it's the UNITED states of america, not the united states of the fed.

If we cant control our government, then we have to remove it, and start anew. Far out? Yes, but our founding fathers knew this would happen and it is our rights as Americans to keep the ownership of our nation.

peace

But what if an 'authority' figure tries to remove you first?
Something like: "Come with me sir" (flashing badge).
You gonna go?
Submit?

Or make papa, even "the" Creator proud?
What if 'they' were watching.

Alot of resources were invested in their little creation.
They would like to see it's potential, realized.
.....and never think of patenting the idea.

Or Will you Fight.
People today seem a bit neutered.
Don't you think?

Bunch of wimps.
No counts.
As they've been 'instructed'.
.....drugged too. :[
"Man-made ones of course" :]

"Nature doesn't make mistakes"
It's of 'divine' creation.
Deserves respect.
and her wish Is command/eth.

Nature Calls.
Just in time.
-though timeless.....

Wow, over 6.4 Billion folk in folkland getting folked.
This is what amazes me when I wake up in the moOring to a new day.
As the invisible shephards watch in dismay, the wolf-pack leads the herd to the chalky cliffs.....below.....as little 'screeches' of the violin in between the 'takes'. Little 'bits' a time.

It could be Of symphonic harmony with G'ood vibrations.
"We have 'this' hope", I recall reading in Grande letters in a particular church. Never got to ask the preacher what was meant by it.
Any ideas?

I will say one thing about the state of Texas.
It's a whole other country, when I was there.
It changed quite a bit, though the 'spirit' seems to linger.

I've lived many places though will always own a ranch in Texas.
Lived in the east though preferred the West.
The West is the best.
It's Great to have 'space'.

Jut too crowded, and 'stinky', in other places.
L.A.
Word got out.
I suppose.

Now Cali has been cali-cased in a 'lower' kind~o~way; bankrupt.
Start over.....
"Morning has Br....

OOps....."I did it again"
nother Vision.
I tawt I saW.....the commercial real estate market as the next check to bOUnce. An Eagle can always intercept a 'passenger' pigeon.

Think: Profiling in Reverse.
Could be helpful in your' future.
Just a seed; needs water.
Only you have the pail.

Here's Looking at You my Brothers'

Here's looking at them.....

Not bad.
Only 1/3 catholic
and Best deal around.
.....though Not necessary.
Ask a 'founding' Father.

.....if you can.

I can see how this might help an economy...

just start meeting your state or local gov't payroll by paying in the local currency!!
seriously, if the economy did do a fatal nosedive, and the dollar became worthless, or well, on the other end managed to be gathered to an extreme in the banks, wealthy, fed, and foreign countries....
I think the local communities would come to a near screaching halt. to have a little local currency floating around might tide them over till the fed got their crap together and figured out what to do next.
