We can never hope to have an open, free and civil society again unless we dare to take on individual and collective responsibility for our communities. Because if we don't, the government will, and the government always screws things up by hiring bureaucracies to do the work we couldn't be bothered doing ourselves. This is hardly anything near what I would call an unbiased or even an informed source. The author states none of his credentials aside from watching Alex Jones films and running another site about Japanese cartoon shows. He also rants about his ex-girlfriend a bit there too.

it will happen if we give socialism a chance. It's like gambling. We may end up having a good system or it may all go wrong just like in many other tyrannical countries.

The question is do you want to take that risk??? Do you want to try socialism because once you have the government running everything and taxing like crazy you may not ever get to get out of it.

In the real world, I am a professional journalist, and I was born in a Socialist country. Canada, you might have heard of it, we're hosting the Olympics right now? I currently live and work in another country with a strong Socialist tradition, the United Kingdom.

Now don't get me wrong here, I love the United States as well, I went to college there and my wife-to-be is an American. The Beach Boys were right about California Girls. You live in an amazing nation, one that I am proud to say my government is allied with.

It sounds like the water heater in my first apartment: everyone told me it was there, and one day, it would kick in and work. I waited for that day my whole lease.

Meanwhile, what ever happened to that massive economic crash that was supposed to happen last fall, or the false-flag attack, or the poisoned vaccinations for H1N1, or the ATF agents taking all of the guns, or the FEMA camps being filled with dissidents?

Wasn't all of that stuff supposed to happen last year? Wow I must have missed a lot!

Ask me if I enjoy falling into a 49.6% income tax ratio bracket to pay for useless lazy individuals who don't want to work, drain Canada's social services and health care system. Then, when I need to get health care like I did last year when I broke my arm in 6 places, I had to wait 10 hours in the Emergency Department. Then, after finally seeing a second rate "doctor" who could hardly speak English, my arm was put in a cast while I waited 5 weeks for the surgery I needed to rebuild the bones in my arm.

Ask me if I'm fond of the fact that the 10's of thousands of dollars in income tax I pay each year goes towards paying the welfare costs of immigrants who claim "refugee" status and are instantly given a health card granting them access to Canadian social services. Ask me if I'm fond of having my name, address, mental state and job status on a police computer just so I can own a shotgun to go duck hunting twice a year with my buddies.

Ask me if I sleep better at night knowing the criminals and thugs in the Toronto area have better access to firearms than law abiding citizens do because the libtards who have ran my country into the ground adopted European style gun laws. Ask me if I'm proud to be a Canadian... I used to be.

You guys need to look no further than just to the north of you in Canada to get an idea of what happens when socialist agenda's are slowly implemented quietly over time.

Canadians can only dream of having a Constitution like you Americans have had protecting your rights and freedoms all these years.

I have no idea how you calculate your taxes, why don't you move down to Buffalo?

Toronto had 5,758 offenses per 100,000 people in 2006.
