If you added in Goodall biting it instead of another researcher, we are coming from about the same ....uh.... area?

I'm american and I am evidently also from the timeline where NZ was NW of AUS and Aus and NZ were surrounded by large expanses of water with nothing near them. The shift had to have occurred sometime after the release of crocodile dundee as I remember it being that way at that time. Of course to those native to this timeline it has always been where it is now.

I also remember nelson mandela being assassinated in my timeline, and billy graham died and there was a big controversy as his son tried to take over his ministry, and of all people, Ernest borgnine was dead. Of course years later, mandela was alive and being released from prison, and graham and borgnine were both alive. Somehow some of us have shifted timelines or something.

The only thing i can go on is that i would have remembered a tiny island country in the corner of the map. I'm not 100% sure, but if someone asked me before this thread, where NZ is, i would have said nw of Aus.

This is very strange.

New Zealand and Oz are in their right places. They have been there since I won the geography award at school 30+ years ago!

Um, i'm sorry are you FROM australia?

The top of Queensland (my state) has always been as close to PNG as it is now, NZ has always been to the South East of the East coast of Australia.

(I say always as in 'the time that i've know it to be' not always as forever as i'm sure someone will try and quote me and go 'well actually several thousand years ago...blah blah blah')

Nothing supernatural, it just is what it is.

I'm sorry but this is just laughable. Really.

Australia and NZ have been exactly where they are now for as long as humans realise, in fact as somebody who lives in Oz and has travelled both countries I can safely say there have been no major shifts in lcoation. What - you think an entire population of two countries (let alone all their neighbours) wouldnt have noticed something like this?

Agree with another poster who has rightly pointed out its mainly people from other nations pushing this theory (if it can be called that), nobody who actually lives here would make such an outlandish statement.

BTW - When Oz held the Americas Cup in WA back in '83, a survey of US citizens was taken asking where Australia was located - a fair percentage located it between Germany and Switzerland. Bar the fact this is in totally the wrong continent - how would you hold a yacht race in a landlocked country?

Deny Ignorance - Remember?

Wiping tears from my eyes

What are they DOING to Americans in school ?

Thanks for this thread ... it's given us happy moments of hilarity

It's almost as good as the satirical tv show which showed Americans a map of Australia and Tasmania and pretended they represented North and South Korea

.... there were all those polite, trying-to-be-helpful Americans looking at the map and saying things like, 'Wow ... I never realised North Korea was so BIG ! '

Lol, your welcome

I also noticed that Bryan moved christmas and cocos islands closer to sri lanka and completely removed Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as half of Indonesia...I also dont think the Torres Strait Islanders and those people living in Bamaga would be too impressed either

At least some of Brisbane is missing....thanks for that one Bryan.....that city needs to be levelled and re-done

Why is it the threads about ghosts and UFO's and political conspiracies(which are all about 90 percent invalid) more deserving of respect, but you start talking about time shifts and we're all a bunch of nuts?
If you're all going to slam the man, why not stay off the paranormal topics board altogether, stick with your political "activism"(cough cough). Sure 9/11 was a inside conspiracy, but we are the crazies????

Go back to your political banter....

Perhaps its because there is actual documented and concrete evidence for many of those theories occuring.

As of yet, I have seen no evidence of time travel or time shifts.... thats unless you were sucked in by "John Titor"

There is plenty of evidence, simply research jkrogs sticky ufo and alien thread in the UFO forum. If you want decent paranormal evidence there's also plenty of that around.

As for the political stuff, who cares

Now can you point me in the direction of where there is some good evidence of a time traveller?

I've been following this threads "topic" with much puzzlement ... not to mention a reasonable amount of laughter

As another poster mentioned, virtually all of those "claiming" a location shift have been non-Aussies/Kiwis.

So ... simple question directed to all the Oz and Kiwi members ...

Have any of you ever believed that your respective countries are no longer located where YOU remembered them once to have been ? Specifically, do ANY of you Aussies or Kiwis recall NZ as having been located north-west of Western Australia ?

Lets have a show of hands ...

I'll start ... I've lived in Oz virtually all my life ... NO CHANGE in locations.

G'day tauristercus

So what you are asking is.....

Has the "earth moved" for any of us Aussies?

No, never noticed anything, I've never been overseas, born in QLD, only ever been to Tasmania, Vic, Act & Nsw.

so in my 24 years of looking at maps (and i was a weird kid, i used to have atlas' and refidexs' as books and would pour over them constantly) Never once have i had a thought or seen that either country is anywhere other than where they are right this second. That's why this topic sounds so crazy to me.

@maybe...maybenot - now thats a different question! because my world gets rocked on a regular basis, but i guess it falls back into the same place after all is done!
haha
