www.telegraph.co.uk...

So feb 9th this article says:

"Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's supreme leader, has said that the country was set to deliver a "punch" that will stun world powers during this week's 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution."

www.nypost.com...

Then on feb 11th Mahmout Ahmadinejad said this:

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a rally marking the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran that Iran was capable of enriching uranium to more than 80 percent purity, although it had not done so."

Now I don't know about you but that doesn't seem peaceful and I think that this is going to get out of control soon. I have listed both liks to the Quotes that I just posted in this post

You're right, it's not a threat, it's simply saying they're going to continue going about their energy business anyway.

And how is it not against ATS rules to post a blatant lie like that in the title when Iran said NOTHING about making nuclear bombs? Two wrongs don't make a right, and FOX lying about it first doesn't make it any more true. FOX has been lying for years now and many of us are already sick enough of it without it coming over to ATS verbatim, gross errors and all.

Again, someone should change the OP to make it fit the actual information in the article.

How do you figure? China doesnt have the means to transport their troops across the pond to get to the US.

And if all of the sudden the started sending aricraft carriers and troop carriers over, you dont think satellites would detect the movements? They would be decimated like shooting fish in a barrel.

Thanks, man.

At least ATS'ers can still have a little intellectual honesty even when FOX can't.

Are we really supposed to believe they aren't already working as fast as they can? There are a lot of people that are just waiting for the chance to turn Iran into a wasteland. I know they know this. They aren't just going to be moving along at a casual pace.

I don't see it. Maybe some island territory in the Pacific, but not the mainland. They don't have a blue water navy or the logistics chain and airlift capacity required. A Sino-US war would have high consequences, but I don't see China accomplishing a mass invasion of the US.

As usual, there is nothing to see here but govt propaganda, the man doesn't like iran and will use any excuse to demonize them.. the man could have come up with a better story line though, expecting people to believe iran would nuke muslim holy land is too silly.

There is already a very efficient logistics train from china to the US, if goods "made in china" get here with ease, so too could troops and supplies.. in theory.

Getting supplies and troops to iran would be easier, afghanistan no problem... another no problem would be the taliban & iraqi resistance becoming chinese sponsored freedom fighters against an oppressive empire.

China targeting the shaky US logistics train from pakistan by bribing the taliban with more money, and weapons, or even their own "black ops" teams.. US forces in chinas back yard would become isolated, vulnerable and I dare say.. subject to being wiped out in a drawn out shooting war.

From 2007:
www.hyscience.com...

American military chiefs have been left dumbstruck by an undetected Chinese submarine popping up at the heart of a recent Pacific exercise and close to the vast U.S.S. Kitty Hawk - a 1,000ft supercarrier with 4,500 personnel on board. By the time it surfaced the 160ft Song Class diesel-electric attack submarine is understood to have sailed within viable range for launching torpedoes or missiles at the carrier. According to senior Nato officials the incident caused consternation in the U.S. Navy. The Americans had no idea China's fast-growing submarine fleet had reached such a level of sophistication, or that it posed such a threat.

Well, personally I think the Great Game is still being played out with the same players, rules and objectives..

I guess the thinking is still the same that some how whoever controls the ME controls the world.. *shrugs* I guess this will carry on until someone butts heads.. which won't be pretty.
