That's right, the newest to the battlefield series, Bad Company 2, is going to destroy the new CoD.

This game, IMO has everything MW2 should have been. Destructible buildings, drivable artillery and gunships, and bad ass graphix.

Demo Now Available.

I hope they optimise it more on the PC. The performance of the Beta is crap..
Might actually have to get a console to enjoy good games in the future..

You really can't compare the two. The developers have said MW 2 is solely based of foot combat, not flying around in planes nuking the whole map.

This is true.
I heard CoD was strictly based on ground action, too.
So It would be nice to have the two different games.

I have yet to see the Bad Company 2 movies (work PC).

Helicopters, not planes....

98% of the game play is on foot combat.

The vehicles just make things interesting..

Actually you CAN compare the two greatly.
Bad Company 2 has a superior graphics, physics AND sound engine. That is something the Battlefield series has been quite excellent at.

1.The sound engine for Mw2 SUCKED compared to BC2(or any other BF game for that matter). That is where MW2 loses major points in my opinion. I've been playing the Demo for the PS3 and MY GAWD the sound effects for BC2 are unbelievable. You honestly feel like you're in the middle of a warzone. Hearing all the machine guns fire, tank rounds firing, RPG's being launched and last but least, the explosions that actually take time to reach you depending on your location. Sure you can hear MW2 gunfire but it doesn't sound REAL, something I want to hear. Naturally I'm sure the PC version armed with a SoundBlaster X-Fi will sound even MORE awesome.

2. The graphics engine may not be bad for MW2 but it sure as hell isn't the best. BC2 dominates in that area with a superior graphics engine backed up with an AWEsome physics engine. Something MW2 would have no clue about. :shk: The Frostbite engine BC2 is utilizing is quite epic. The ability to rip through buildings, walls and the road with explosives, bulldoze trees with tanks and even cut them down with a spray of heavy gun fire.

3. Multiplayer. BC2 will reign supreme in this category.
One being DEDICATED SERVERS for the PC. Something MW2 took out and stabbed us PC gamers in the kidney.RAAAGEE

Two being squad player warfare (something the BF series has been quite proficient at) and the ability to work as a team instead of running around aimlessly running and gunning for some frags. Now I know MW2 has other game modes that make you work as a team but it CANNOT compare to the teamplay of BF. Plus you can leave a squad and lonewolf it if you choose, no one makes you part of a squad.

Three being the size of the maps. MW2 may have decent sized maps but running around to one side of the map then back just to change spawn location is....retarded. In my opinion. I never really like the spawning system for CoD because its predictable(given enough play time to learn it). The BF series has always forced you to fight just like real warfare. Meet the enemy head on and push them back to the point of complete annihilation. The maps in BC2 are quite huge allowing an array of tactics to be utilized to achieve victory.

Now this may seem one-sided but I enjoy CoD4 and MW2 as well as the Battlefield series. They're both great sets of games utilizing different ways of having fun. But where MW2 fails, BC2 prevails and when it comes down too it, I'm not doing to be playing MW2...it will be BC2 on my screen dominating like I always have.

MW2 < BC2

You forgot they also added a lot of extra effects for explosions namely lighting and fogging effects which really add to the realism. Range Compensation for sniper fire is a huge plus, not to mention that you don't have the infinite range with bullets like you do in MW2. Plus (when sniping at least) you have to adjust for the delay of the bullet. It's not instant like COD, there is a definite delay between firing the shot and the bullet contacting the target. This makes it much more difficult and realistic firing at long range with moving targets.

In MW2 you can really spray, at really any distance, with an M4 or an ACR and take out your target no problem. Tell me I'm wrong and I will show you games where my kdr was over 3-1 doing that very thing. Really bursting is not as necessary as it should be.. If you fire with any sniper rifle the contact of the bullet is pretty well instant no matter the distance. BC2 is a ton more accurate to recoil and performance with all its weapons.

IMO BC2 is the holy grail of current FPS realism. MW2 you feel like you are inside an intense first person shooter. BC2 makes you feel like you are in the middle of a real honest to god war. That is the precedent.

I really don't have to say anything about the graphics. They are superior all you have to do is look.

I have to agree with you 100% BC2 > MW2

Ahh yes, I did forget. The lighting system and particle effects are quite amazing and impressive. One hell of an improvement over the other BF games. The way vehicles explode are AWESOME to say the least. Plus they stay there a good while till the disappear or they're fully destroyed so it gives a good feel that bad things lurk around. I was in the demo at Port Valdez and after the first locations falls, the area between sector 1 and 2 there is a constant snow blowing particle effect that makes it some what difficult (if sniping) to see hostiles coming to you. Which is AWESOME. lol

That is one thing I never like is the bullet system MW2 used. Doesn't matter where you are, it acts like you're two feet from from your designate target. But I have noticed one this. when you snipe in the console version you have no scope sway, which MW2 has and the PC Version of BC2. You should have to hold your breath just like in MW2. And I second that with all the weapons they feel, act and sound like real weapons...at least to a point. Something MW2 horribly failed at compared to BC2.

I all I know is that I really hope I get my gaming laptop or at least a decent gaming desktop to play this...I really don't want to play it on a console but I'll settle for it if I can't acquire a good gaming computer. =/

BATTLEFIELD 4 LYFE YO lol

I agree 100%... i have always been a battlefield fan... i played BF1942 for about 4 years... joined a clan and got really involved.

Right now im playing COD MW2 on my PS3... i am addicted

But as soon as i have the cash for BC2 its game over for COD...

Of course this is just all a matter of taste... but for me... i sometimes feel that COD is like Quake 3 in a current day setting!!!

It’s all too fast and jumpy... people running around like headless chickens using commando and marathon while racking up kills... ridiculous... you ever seen a war fought where solders run around the battle field, holding a shotgun in each hand while randomly stabbing hundreds of people??? LOL

I picked it up this afternoon and I've been playing for an hour. In a round right now. It's fun and stuff, but where are these great graphics you're talking about? These suck.

I picked this up yesterday, left work early to play this "ground breaking MW2 azz kicker".......only to be sorely disappointed in a sub par game. The graphics in multiplayer SUCKS, play control SUCKS, Controls are not responsive, clunky at best. It is hard to actually see anything. The guns(accuracy/damage) suck unless you are sniping which apparently is what everyone does, they camp the outside of the map and snipe constantly. You guys talk about this being more realistic, but I am absolutely certain that in a real life fire fight that it does not take half to 1 full mag dead center of a target to bring it down.

Hey I can use a grenade launcher and blow a section of wall out, but I can't get bullet penetration to kill someone that is right behind that wall... that doesn't seem to mesh up to me. From what I could tell you cannot get into prone position, crouch and stand only.

Aim down your weapon without a scope and what do you see? Gun.....your field of view is severely limited to a very small percentage.

Oh I am going to get in that tank and go tear some s**t up...LOL one shot from an RPG and you are done. You get damn near a direct hit on someone with the main tank cannon and not kill them. The squad battles are really slow and you could sneak around for half an hour and never see anyone...

The visuals in the campaign are nice but the extended play on these games comes from the online aspect of it.

My son and I both play MW2 and were excited about this game from the hype. He was so excited when I brought this home. I played it and looked at him and told him that this game sucks, he says dad..it is new you just have to learn how to play it. He played a few rounds and told me I should go get my money back... So I figure well maybe if I put a few hours into it I will get into the groove. Four hours later I still felt the same. For some this may be your pinnacle of FPS gaming. I feel that MW2 still reigns supreme.

You must be playing the console version.

That's why the graphics suck

does anybody else have a problem with too many simultaneous kills? as in you kill a enemy and he kills you at the same time. Ive got about 700 kills so far and probably 50 of them have been from 2 of us killing eachother.

I am a HUGE FPS fan.

I returned this game.

I have NEVER felt so alone in an online FPS, EVER! I was so disappointed. The game looked amazing, destructible environments is also awesome, however, just so very alone in the game world.

They are 2 different games!
COD is more of a special forces ground type battles/war.

And Bad Company 2 is ALL OUT WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:bash:

What? More like the PC versions graphics would suck
. Here's some game play (PS3):

I haven't played it, but I am already impressed. The gunfire sounds a lot more realistic than MW2.

I have to say, after playing it a few months it's pretty great. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Great Vid...

However, a full spec PC will always beat a PS3 or Xbox... I used to do all my gaming on a PC and my friends were always blown away by the graphics...

I am now a family man and cannot afford to keep upgrading my PC... so i play games on my PS3... No denying, it’s a great console... but you can’t beat a state of the art gaming PC!

I wish i had the money to keep my PC up to date!
