28 May 2004 - Al Qaeda lists successes since 9/11 on Global Islamic Media; Includes 2001 downing of American Airlines flight 587 that went down over Queens

In a stunning revelation to the Global Islamic Media Group this morning, Al Qaeda has revealed that they were responsible for the downing of American Airlines flight 587 over Queens in November 2001.

The article, published this morning on Global Islamic Media's Yahoogroup, lists the successes that Al Qaeda has achieved since the attack on America in September 2001. Al Qaeda has previously claimed credit for all of the other attacks on the list. The cause of the AA flight 587 crash is still listed by the FAA as accidental, with no indications of terrorism.

The following list itemizes the attacks that they are claiming:

Downing of the American Airlines plane over the Queens district of New York (City) on the 26th day of Shaban in the (Islamic) year 1422, equivalent to November 12th, 2001, killing 265 passengers as well as residents of that district.

I always had doubts over that apparent 'accident'

I always wondered too.
I might be more tempted to believe these claims, though, if the claim had indicated HOW they'd brought the plane down.
The official cause given from the NTSB was "likely" due to the the rudder & tail fin basically falling off the plane as it took off ... though it's still "inconclusive."
Yeah, that's pretty damn fishy, I must say.
BUT.
The group claiming the crash isn't giving info to make their claims any less fishy than the NTSB's.

I watched CNN the minutes after it happened and they broadcasted an amateur video of the plane passing by. The thing was it had a fire tail bursting out at the side near the engines. This video was later pulled off the air to never be seen again. I can not prove this other than my word for it, perhaps someone else saw it too.

They seem to be taking credit for quite a few things, including the blackouts in the U.S. and U.K., a little more infromation on how they did it would give more credence to their claims.

It is sad when you have to decide which organization has more integrity... the US Government or al Quaeda (sorry if I spelled it wrong). This isnt the first time that something like this was reported as an accident. Do you recall the fedex truck that exploded in Missouri (i think that was the state). It was big news and then all the sudden it vanished from the TV. The governments story was that the fuel tank on the right side of the truck ruptured and blew up causing what you saw on tv. There is a problem with that. The video clearly showed the fire came from within the trailer. The insides were burned out. The ends were slightly more intact than the edges. Also for those of you that have never been on or near an 18 wheeler the fuel tanks are located approximately below the driver and passenger doors. If the tank would have ruptured and blown like that the cab would have been burned up as well. As it was the cab was untouched. Also I challenge anyone to find a picture of the right side of the truck. If this is where the event happened some news station should have a picture from that side.

fromt the above link:

# Electrical power blockouts in the northern portions of America and the southern areas of Canada
# Electrical power blackouts in Great Britain.

Sorry, I dont think they have proved to me that flight 587 or those blackouts were Al Qaeda. Damn, they could take credit for every little things, doesn't make it so.
Why the long wait to come foreward, huh????????
