Sorry, but IMO there haven't been any arguments convincing enough to make this thing any kind of animal I've ever heard of. I'm not seeing anything human--no backpacks, no rifle, nada. All I see is a very strange, freaky-looking head on a very strange, freaky-looking body and I wouldn't have any desire to run across it in the woods, whatever it is . . .

I'm calling this some strange, rare animal mutation, an alien creature, or an elaborate hoax . . .

It's a deer facing the camera with it's head down. If you look closely you can see the two hind legs.

This of course is imo.

To me it looks like a hunting dog with a pack on its back and a rifle or shotgun sticking out of it.

Something like this with the hunters gear and weapon hanging off of it.

Is there any chance that it is a skinned animal of somekind that was perhaps hung on a tree to bait a predator/carnivore?

How about a Felis concolor coryi or Florida panther that just came out of a swamp and is covered in mud which could explain the smooth texture and glare?

Odd..very odd. Not a dog, nor human; cat maybe. I don't see deer at all.

the "Bear's Head isolated in color in the left frame is the effect of overlay of the 1) Top of the ruck that has a "compression bag" strapped to the ruck that extents over the head (Top left),2) the long clyinder object that is strapped to the side of the ruck (appears in the foreground) and extends along side the ruck up even with the "compression bag" finally the 3)"face" that is caught in the lights glare would be the foremost point and rounded apprears to be short curly/wavy hair, facial features are lost in the glare but appears to be facing towards the ground but not directl (face down) but almost as if he tripped and is falling and trying not to fall on his face! If you have ever carried a top heavy ruck you would know what I'm trying to discribe.

You know, that's a possibility, but it looks like it would have to be more than one deer because the shape is too strange to be just one.

Wow, I looked at that thing from every conceiveable perspective, blown it up etc. I can't figure it out, and I have spent plenty of time in the woods. Although I'm not saying it's a chupa or anything like what I caught in my backyard one night:

In cases where I don't like the thread, I've learned to use my mouse to move to another thread.

That way I don't clutter someone else's thread that other people are enjoying, with complaining.

How can you explain the mass of the tail area?

I don't have anymore photos of it, the camera is on a timer and I assume this is the only picture it snapped.

I come to this forum for interesting theories and alternative news articles. Not Rorschach tests. This is clearly a dog. Why is this on the front page? and why does it have so many flags? There are a DOZEN crazy things that have happened in the last 48 hours that deserve more attention then this.

Sorry. I'm just frustrated with these kinds of topics popping up as often as they do.

So...why did you comment then? You could have just as easily skipped this thread and moved toward a thread you were more comfortable with.

And if its clearly a dog, why are so many people thinking that its a deer? And if its clearly a deer, why are people saying its a cat? And if its clearly a cat, why do others gravitate to some different theory? And if its none of the above options, then where does that leave us? It appears that we cannot collectively come up with a decision on this species, therefore, it requires a bit more research. Wouldn't you say???

Personally, I am an animal fanatic and have studied many different forms of species. So far, even with all of my amateur experience, I have not come up with a single identifying factor that conclusively states that it is anything that I have personally witnessed.

So, I'm glad that you're 100% certain that this is a dog, however, I would love to hear from you which breed you think that it is. I've already went through every known breed, and so far, this picture doesn't resemble any of them.

Although...I'm still not ruling out the dog theory. Its just hard to tell for sure.

I have a theory, but would like more details before I look the fool.
Any chance we can see the images prior to this shot as well as the image taken right after this shot?
That is, if the images were shot from the same location.
The flair on the right corner is whats messing with my theory, and quite frankly is driving me batty.
If possible please post those images, and I can perhaps answer your question

LOL! If that's a boxer then I'm afraid what we're witnessing here, people, is the first ever known case of a dog that suffers from Elephant Man's Disease.

OH MY FREAKING GOD!!

dont people ever get out??

How is it anything other than what i posted?

it is exactly the same, just facing another direction, you can see its head, you can see the ears folded the same, you can see the front legs in a similar position. you can see it has muscular thighs like in the photo.

I am posting this on a dog forum and directing them here.
too many people here are blind/stupid.

I agree. Why all the concern over how many flags the thread has and how come it's on the front page? I've been seeing people comment like that a lot lately in here and I don't know what the motivation is behind it unless the person thinks these threads are some kind of competition.

I like how many different theories are coming up. Everyones seeing different things!

I've asked 3 people now, one sees a bear and two a hunter. But one of the people seeing a hunter sees a cat looking closer. Whereas I see neither. All I can see is a big cat.

I hope this gets cleared up! It's driving me mad
