If you are serious about joining the Freemasons...

According to information disclosed in the past that I have encountered, angelx666 cannot join a fraternity.

hum, why is dat ???

I don't know, maybe the Masons will explain that Masonry is a fraternity. I didn't write their rules.

am flexible

Ok, I just had one of those thoughts...

One of the Rosicrucian orders might work since they have fraters and sorers but who knows which are legit.

Without Masonic relative or membership in another qualfying organization, I don't think that is possible.

Order of the Eastern Star

Originally, a woman would have to be the daughter, widow, wife, sister, or mother of a master Mason, but the Order now allows other relatives[2] as well as allowing Job's Daughters, Rainbow Girls, and Triangle Girls to become members when they become of age.

Well....there is the standard answer...how can you believe in God without believing in the excistance of devil? If you don't, it is not the God most people belief in you are revering to....and a religion unknown to me.
Why would anyone need a devil? Is your God not so great that he controls all?

… that Equilibrium between Good and Evil, and Light and Darkness in the world, which assures us that all is the work of the Infinite Wisdom and of an Infinite Love; and that there is no rebellious demon of Evil, or Principle of Darkness co-existent and in eternal controversy with God, or the Principle of Light and of Good: by attaining to the knowledge of which equilibrium we can, through Faith, see that the existence of Evil, Sin, Suffering, and Sorrow in the world, is consistent with the Infinite Goodness as well as with the Infinite Wisdom of the Almighty.

Sympathy and Antipathy, Attraction and Repulsion, each a Force of nature, are contraries, in the souls of men and in the Universe of spheres and worlds; and from the action and opposition of each against the other, result Harmony, and that movement which is the Life of the Universe and the Soul alike. They are not antagonists of each other. The force that repels a Planet from the Sun is no more an evil force, than that which attracts the Planet toward the central Luminary; for each is created and exerted by the Deity, and the result is the harmonious movement of the obedient Planets in their elliptic orbits, and the mathematical accuracy and unvarying regularity of their movements.

I don't agree that belief in god necessitates a belief in a devil.

God has created all things. Including our need for dualism in order to understand ourselves and our surroundings.

Side players are not necessary, heaven(god)/earth(our world)/man(us) are plenty.

For instance, consider this. In physics, There is no such thing as "cold" There is only "heat"

"Cold" only comes when there is an absence of heat.

Apply this thinking to recognition of God.

I'm sorry but 'Angelx666' Please learn how to spell! It's ridiculous. Noone will take you seriously as an adult, let alone to join a 'secret society' if you can't even spell basic words. No texting shorthand. I'm sorry but you sound like you're about 14, in which case, most likely not eligible to join any sort of secret society - unless you want to become an official 'twihard' or something.

Good luck with it all the same.

Can't help with that but you can join my cult any day.

This is not really a sentence that bears any meaning - it is just decoration that serves as my second and third line.

Wrong forum thread! ATS does have a thread for computer games I think though.

Your answer is Sims2, University expansion, and make friends with three SS members. Last hint, you'll have to get out of the dorm lot at least once to activate the 'quest'.

It's all a game.

so I was literally asked the other day to come to a Freemason Ceremony... by a couple different people from different lodges... Both gentlemen asked me if I wanted to join the fraternity.
So I say "I thought you guys don't do active recruiting"... and he replies "We don't."

Creepy huh? I said yes...

So are there any Chicago masons in this forum that can point me in the right direction here?

Not all Masonic ceremonies are for Masons only, several are open to the public. Perhaps they thought you would be interested in attending.

I am not sure what the Illinois Jurisdictions by-laws state but I personally think that anyone who joins should not be solicited.
