Ummm, quite a bit, actually.
but it was truly a statement on the fact that people in this thread are shrugging off obvious symbolism as coincidence.
The design of the Great Seal went through three committees where numerous ideas were submitted. There seemed to be a consensus around the usage of a pyramid containing exactly thirteen steps and/or the representation of the “Eye of Providence”.
The pyramids each contain exactly 13 steps. While they are said to represent America’s original thirteen colonies, number 13 also bears an important esoteric signification: It is one of Freemasonry’s sacred numbers and an important figure in occult numerology.
“If any one doubts the presence of Masonic and occult influences at the time the Great Seal was designed, he should give due consideration to the comments of Professor Charles Eliot Norton of Harvard, who wrote concerning the unfinished pyramid and the All-Seeing Eye which adorned the reverse of the seal, as follows: “The device adopted by Congress is practically incapable of effective treatment; it can hardly (however artistically treated by the designer) look otherwise than as a dull emblem of a Masonic fraternity.”
“Not only were many of the founders of the United States Government Masons, but they received aid from a secret and august body existing in Europe, which helped them to establish this country for a peculiar and particular purpose known only to the initiated few. The Great Seal is the signature of this exalted body–unseen and for the most part unknown–and the unfinished pyramid upon its reverse side is a trestleboard setting forth symbolically the task to the accomplishment of which the United States Government was dedicated from the day of its inception.”
-Manly P. Hall, Secret Teachings of All Ages
OK, thanks. Yeah, certainly LOOKS Masonic (though I don't know why they'd use the Fellowcraft version of the square & compasses instead of the Master Mason version...) But that eye is in a triangle, not an unfinished pyramid. As I said, the eye of providence goes back thousands of years as a sign of an omniscient God. Similarly, the triangle is often a sign of the holy-trinity, therefore rendering the combination a symbol of the Christian God.

Probably not chance. But the owl is not a symbol used in Freemasonry, so you can't pin that one on us... Go blame the Bohemian Grovers if you'd like.

Thats chance as well?
Yes, and I said as much. What nobody seems to get is that the all-seeing eye over an unfinished pyramid is not a symbol that has ever been used in Masonic ritual or teachings, nor was it a symbol used by the historical Bavarian Illuminati (1776-1785).

This Norton character is deflecting and passing false info. The eye of the 'Great Architect' has been used ad nauseum in masonic culture. Look up any masonic painting of G. Washington. its always there.
Seeing as how politics are a topic forbidden in lodge, I find it impossible to see how the lodge could affect any election.

If you had, oh, say, links or better yet, printed works from peer reviewed, published authors (rather than bloggers and YouTube vids) that actually had something to say, I'd be more than happy to "read up." I'll await your list of well documented sources.

I'm not going to get into this silly little argument.
The history of freemasonry, and its infiltration of other groups, is well documented.
I suggest you, and your deflecting buddies, read up.

So, you've got nothing.

More or less the response I expected.
Keep up the good work.

So basically it boils down to; you do not want to discuss anything relative to the topic and you do not want to link any previous discussions you may have had germain to the same. Who is the troll? Enjoy spiraling around in that vortex of ignorance.

No, I think you are just here to pretend like you know everything and when asked to substantiate your claims you make extremely lame cop-outs. The only thing getting trashed by your actions is your ability to debate this on an intellectual level.
