www.itworld.com...

this story is quite troublesome if it has happened. Built in back doors put into computers by the Chinese would give them access to almost everything over time. If buy American hasn't meant so much before. This is something to ponder.

When did America start manufacturing computers? I don't think anything IT related is made in the USA that I can think of.

Buy Japanese if you're worried.

I also question all the parts that China makes for our military industrial complex.
Parts for jets, tanks, missiles and anything that flies or moves could be subject to sabotage.

We must not allow China to be involved in our parts classified projects. Sooner or later someone is going to see that giving all of our military contracts to China is going to come back and haunt us because the Chinese are capable of reverse engineering anything we give them to produce for us. The Chinese will then have American weapons technology that in affect we gave them for free to use against us and others.

Somebody needs to rethink what China does for our military industrial complex before we wake up wondering how China acquired secret technology to use against America and its allies.

I think I have to. They are the only game in town, aren't they? Right? Everything comes from China as far as I know.

There is such a thing as Japanese hardware?
Every thing is with a 'made in China' label.

Did anyone see a thread some long time ago that anything electronic 'made in China' used in American weapon systems is vulnerable to pulse weapons?
I think the term was pulse weapons?

However, this is what we (Canada too) should expect when we give away our industrial base to foreign countries, which have poor human rights records and poor environmental laws.
How can we compete against that?

'Hey can you make us a weapon for us for a really ridiculously low price that could be used against you some day, but don't make your own, it's private stuff, eh?'
Sure

Anyhow, information is super valuable and governments will try to keep ahead of their adversaries any way they can.

The only people I trust less than the Chinese are Americans.
