The very first step of improving economy begins with you and me.
1. Responsibility Mindset: Each must take responsibilities for their own actions. Nothing is free, no one owe us a living. You and I owe each other to
contribute to our society and not depend on society to feed us when we have brains, arms and legs to earn an honest living, regardless if as a rubbish
cleaning operator or as POTUS.
We need to get a job, with a part of it to take care of social spending - eduction, defense, healthcare, etc. We all will benefit from it as it had
touched our lives from our forefathers' contributions, and the time is for us now to contribute back for the next generations to come.
2. Accept the low salaries temporarily: Times are bad, so in order to compete, salaries had been kept low, and at times even ridiculously low.
However, our unions will be strengthened in time to come as we learn from this financial crisis created by corporate greed.
Action will come, so long as we feedback to our elected representatives to discuss ways to protect industries and jobs, and the necessary trade deals
that will benefit the worker and not just the bosses alone.
In time, salaries will increase as the rich are made to redistribute their wealth more equitably, based on one's sweat and effort, not just because
someone has deep drawers to play ponzi schemes.
3. Save and spend:- It's ok to spend, for only in circulating money can the economy grow by the lives touched by the funds. Only just spend on
necessities, and have some savings to tide over bad times.
4. Watch out for opportunities:- No one needs to be a worker for life. No american is a serf today, and is free to become an entreprenuer at any time.
However, to become one, it would need biz experience, not just school book theories. Best to work for a few years in a company and open one's eyes
and ears to learn about the trade, then find out the shortcommings, and then come in to plug it. In it lays one's opportunity to rise, as well as
create jobs for others.
5. Always check with one's elected representatives on his plan to improve the economy. Alone, our ideas may not be viable or good enough, but with
more heads, a sound concept may be workable.
Keep an open mind always. It is the responsibility of the elected representative to come out with solutions, espacially the economy, for that's where
food can be place on our tables. Without food first, it may be difficult to focus on other issues.
The keyword is mindset. As long as one keeps working, hard and smart (but not too smart alecky), this one drop in the ocean of economy will raise its
level. And also to remember to take breaks, for human are not machines and must never allow ANY employer to bully the worker on this issue.
