Give it a rest mate - these issues were directed at Victoria which is about as tolerant as it gets in Australia - India is waging a diplomatic war against Australia over Uranium issues along with other mineral issues in relation to China - hence the ludicrous campaign against Australia - which you are a stooge of.

Secondly India has an institutionalized form of racism called the Caste System - horrendous. Thirdly significantly more Indians are murdered per capita by Indians, significantly higher murder rate over all, significantly higher murder of women primarily for poor dowry payments, significantly higher murder and assault against westerners than against indians on a per capita or any other form of measurement you wish to pursue.

Finally Australians have been butchered and burnt ALIVE by indians - so the idea that what are clearly financially motivated attacks of theft almost totally in no way compare to the outrageous levels of institutionalized racism and violence emanating from India -

I will tell you what is happening to India. Yes, India is a place which isn't expected to behave with its Guests the way things have happened.

There is a very strong reason here:
1. Bollywood aping Hollywood in its depiction of sexual content, this started worsening post 1996. There was a surge of smuggled B Grade and C grade Hollywood movies being imported via Dubai and Indonesia into India. Now human beings have a tendency to see such things. Yesterday I was jerking off intensely and all of a sudden I a thought passed by my mind and I started laughing at myself. "I have been jerking since 1996 when I had seen that B grade softporn Movie Emma. I have been jerking since then, but, I never cared to get the real thing itself for an intercourse, I will get it someday if I get married"

So, when these movies were gaining popularity, the bloody Bollywood started buying off media in India and they started depicting Sexual content in its most bold form to the Public via Media day in a day out.Needless to say in order to gain popularity and they came with many bold films and international Softporns in some cases.

2. The same B-Grade movies have depicted Foreigners as being sex crazy. blame it on Hollywood. So Every Village Yocal thinks that Foreigners must be of the same kind they saw in that B-Grade softporn movie.
So these rapes are mostly done by uneducated youths who are villagers and they have only one pre etched notion in their minds created by stupid softporn movies from Hollywood and copy cat Bollywood.

The reports of rapes started surging post 1997.

This is what is happening to this country. What has happened in Australia is also sad. Idiots are there in every corner of the world. This is where we live, this is our home fortunately and unfortunately.

You know, I kind of cant agree with the points here completely.
I do agree Shiva sena is hardliner, but, if they weren't there, India would one half of India would be thumping bible and other half Koran and woman would be under sharia law.

Assaults upon tourists in India have been going on for years and I'm really surprised some of you have only just become aware of it.

I would'nt go to India for all the tea in China; it's a filthy dirty place, the people have no regard for each other let alone tourists. No respect, no honour, no loyalty. Perhaps the biggest mistake for India was when the British Colonials left the place.

When the Brits came to India, Indian way of life improved greatly since the large gap between the British Colonial period and that of the golden age when India was once a jewel in Asia for trade and commerce.

I'm well aware of what goes on in other nations but let's face it India has a shocking human rights record, one of the worst worldwide. I'm not quite sure what you deem "civilized" knowing what I know but lets face it Indians have no respect for each other, women are treated like dogs, conditions in India is shocking and thats putting it mildly.

I used to do business with India for years until Indians became too shonky to deal with. I took one too many loses until I moved business to Hong Kong and Thailand. This is the way many foreign businesses went, moved over to China, Thailand and Taiwan.

Until India lifts its game tremendously, Hong Kong and China will continue to be the power house it is and India will continue to loose out.

I'm fully aware of the Islamic invasion in to India and the fear they instill into each and every Hindu (and minority groups) to this very day. I'm also fully aware of the Kashmirian issue - home to probably the most beautiful women in the world.

India's history is no doubt huge; I speak of the golden years of when Bombay was THE hub for all trade and commerce, India was back then probably the richest nation on earth.

Now speeding up to the present - population hits 1.3B (or is it 1.4B?). With that comes enormous problems - and yes corruption is on a magnitude like something right off the scales. India is a melting pot and it can not sustain it's population growth.

Well at least they are doing something about it.

My father described India in the best way possible, in India you will meet the nicest person on earth and the worst person on earth.
In some areas women are not treated well in other areas women are treated like MataJi.
Try hitting or even slightly pushing a woman in India in public, everyone around will attack you and protect the girl, this is also part of indian culture.

However there was NEVER sharia law in India, the Hindus protected themselves well from the islamic empire and even created sikhism, hindu ksatriyas(soldiers) to protect hinduism from Islam.

In some small areas the islamic empire won but overall Hindus protected themselves well.
