Hi all

I have often thought about the prospect of life on Mars, either in the past, or even making in habitable for the future, as some of you may know there is a lot of speculation about life there now, and the controversial evidence used to support such claims. Well I looked at a few of these images and to be honest some are pretty impressive, including the one of he statue caught by the rover mars Lander. But I have always had an idea that a lot of them are just simple optical illusions. So this is another of my short animations to show how I think the statue is made up but various different objects at different distances form each other. This is just my opinion on this one and accept that I could be wrong, but its just another possible explanation, thanks for watching, any comments? Neo.

Excellent work. There are so many wild claims about the surface of mars and the moon.

It's great to see some logic at work.

It didn't look much like a statue to begin with, unless you are highly motivated to believe it.

I thought I read that the actual size of the "rock" (or whatver) was very small....besides why would mars folk look like our prehistoric past and not wear any clothes at all...it's cold up there!

perfectly good point to raise my friend since it is entirely possible.

It's a good thing to have objective people, however I could easily grab the photograph of one of these "Statues" or "Bases" and create a 3D model to try to push a point, when you really brought nothing new to the table other than reminding people to be objective (which is good).

It's just similar to the people who were on the Norway spiral thread posting animated missiles made in 3ds max, or from halo videos..

I agree. This seems to be the case with a great deal of the supposed "anomolies" on the moon and mars. . . .

then again there are those few that just make you say hrmm

Never pushing an opinion, this is just my interpretation of what the so called statue could be, One of the reasons i made the clip was prompted by some comments on youtube, which to say the lease were getting out of hand, its easy to say your right and then expect others to follow blindly, and forget that others will have a different opinion. I tried to explain to my partner how i saw the statue, but she was having a problem understanding what i meant, so that's where the clip came in.

There are many objects on Mars and the moon for that matter that i personally think are something, there was a post recently about squares on the landscape in one area, not sure where that one went, but i thought that was possible, especially when you look at our landscape after it has been snowing, and remember there is a lot of dust blowing about up on Mars, which could have a similar effect in looks. Again just my opinion, i just happened to thing the statue isn't a statue, because i don't blindly agree with everything, i try to look with an open mind and even more so, i try to explain things with what for me is a logical explanation.

I use Blender (free open sauce software) for my animations and 3d rendered images)

it is made using the original photo as the texture for the Blender animation, all i have done it made several object from the original photo, which came from the NASA image. All i have tried to do here is show it with depth, which as you know a 2d image doesn't have, I didn't say i was right but this is just another possibility of what it might look like up close.
