TEHRAN, Iran - Iran said on Tuesday that it was ready to send its uranium abroad for further enrichment as requested by the U.N.

So what's everyone's thoughts on this? Is Iran willing to play ball? What can this mean for potential US Sanctions? What does this mean for 2/11 response from Iran?

I think it's interesting that he's saying this now that all the other countries seem to be getting more and more angry, I think he's just trying to buy time.

Well, if he is now willing to ship X amount abroad, in the time since the deal was originally presented he more than likely found a source willing to ship it in so he can still maintain his original amounts. I doubt he would willingly turn over one of his best bargaining chips and leave himself naked so to speak. You can say what you want, but he is intelligent and knows the power he holds simply by having uranium. There's no way I buy that he caved to world pressure and is leaving Iran empty-handed.

He tries to fool the world into believing that he changed his mind.
Like in the past he is playing a poker game to buy time.

The right answer is to further tighten the sanctions as planned.

No, that is the wrong answer. If Iran is following the guidelines agreed upon by the UN, then there should be no sanctions. You cannot punish a nation simply because you dont like them very much...if that was the case, there would be about 2 countrys still trading with the US at this point.

...the plan was to tighten sanctions until they agreed to the UN demands...Do you not agree that a person/nation is only as good as their word?

Does anyone here understand that blockading a country is an act of war?

I find all of this stuff just leading us into another war.

And people are backing it? It is a sovereign nation, what would you think if the world decide to cut the US off from everything?

Wake up to the fact that we should have no say in what another country MAY or MAY NOT do.

If you disagree, I think you are guilty of pre-crime and need to go to Gitmo or another of the 100's of other rendition prisons.
