the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS - the most important strategic tinktank in the world) has announced that the US-UK occupation in Iraq is directly linked to a spectacular rise of Al Queda recruitments & global terror treats. "Invading Iraq damaged the war on terror, there is no doubt about that. It has strengthened rather than weakened al-Qa'ida."
Anyone care to explain how this fits in mr. bush's plan to make this world (read: US) a safer place...?

That is making a big assumption that he actually planned that far ahead.

This whole situation stinks of "Lets go in, get the job done and see what happens. I'm sure it will be alright"
