Unexplained Explosion on the Sun (breaking news)

I am a firm believer that activity in our Solar system affects this planet and us as a race (Human race).

I will assume we are seeing a CME. Here is a link explaining the term CME.

If somebody could inform me of when the ejection is likely to reach the Earth then maybe we could look for signs of possible affects. I believe Whale stranding’s are linked to this kind of activity and also stories of Birds dropping from the sky… (remember the New Jersey case last year?)

I also believe the human Pineal Gland is affected by this kind of activity... once we know when the ejection is likely to reach Earth we can look out for strange behaviours in mankind, list them and try to reach a greater understanding of how everything is interconnected.

I was reading up on an old dialogue with a supposed "illuminait" member that took place on ATS... funny how he actually mentioned something about a solar emission in late 2009/early 2010 that will cause the ice caps to melt, etc...

Although I find myself cringing at the mention of the Illuminati, I feel you have inadvertently raised a great point concerning global warming and activity in our solar system.

Cue cries of "it's a conspiracy" regarding the greenhouse effect.

I feel much of what the Government promotes in terms of information regarding our role in Global warming has been done so in order to tax us unfairly and to generate bigger cash flows in the pockets of the “big corps.”

I believe that solar flares, CME's and such like are more responsible than humans for an increase in the melting ice we see around us.

That is not to say I think we should keep dumping toxins into our planet as I also believe a tidy home is a healthy home.

Humans are part of nature and it will be nature that has the final say.

Still it’s a great point from Mr Illuminati... Solar activity affects our planet and we would probably do well to understand more.

Although it was an event for sure, it was no doubt a CME. By the position of the flare at the time it occurred it was most likely from 1041. There is too much room for speculation it seems when SOHO is in a CCD Bakeout or half blind. IMO, it was just a flare, a big one at that. Waiting on data to see how big it truly was. Thanks for your heads up on it though OP! I do believe the Sun has some big surprises for us in the near future.

The Sun gives us all life, but she can also take it away.

It's complete normal, nothing special - suns always ejects mass, all one or two weeks.

At 17sec in the stereo video of the sun that you posted with 5 years of explosions you can see on the right hand side of the sun a large arching coronal discharge , its HUGE

That's either a 'Borg cube' or an artifact. I'm leaning towards the latter.
