Is WWIII Imminent?

I am just posting this to get your own personal thoughts, and opinions. I dont want this turning into a slagging match or an everyone hate the east campaign. If anyone has a decent reply them feel free to do so, if you havent then move on.
I have been reading plenty of articles etc and everything seems to be pointing towards an imminent war. I will supply a few links but thats not what im really wanting. What i am wanting is your own personal opinions on the title, do you agree or disagree.
I personally think that something is going to happen big time and that this will be the worst war that anyone could have imagined and witnessed. The technology that some countries possess could simply level a whole state. There are weapons that exist that have the capabilities of altering weather and can actually manipulate the actual ground we all stand on.
Theres also prophecies that predict this, Nostradamus for example.

Personally I doubt WW3 will be anytime soon, however, it looks like we could be headed down that track. If WW3 were to start now it would probably begin with China going to war with the US. China would then get Russia involved and the US would get the UK involved and it would kind of be a snowball effect.

I Believe WWIII is very likely.

Their is a HELL OF A LOT going on military wise around the globe.
tensions are rising and its not just the war on terror we have to
keep our eyes on.

I think I will definitely see world war 3 in my lifetime.

As far as the players go, I would say China as the instigator w/ the US, but I think Russia will be a wildcard.

My thoughts are that if a war kicked off it would be pretty conventional, once one side start winning, that is when it will start getting interesting, and when one side is clearing losing that is when all the horror toys will come out..

*sigh* it's sad truth but human nature is at its worse and best during wartimes..

As the senario, which appears the current one being thrown around is West Vs Iran/NK/Russia.. I feel personally that the missile sheilds are no more effective than the Maginot line was..

If this scenario plays out, then in all honesty they will have had years to think up and perfect strategies to beat these defences the way the blitzkreig was used in WW2.

Who attacks the enemy at the strongest point? where they are the most defended? (Answer: no one, except a WW1 general)

So if this kicks off, it will be in a way, none of us will be able to predict..

Edit to add: personally I see China sitting this one out... and remaining neutral as long as possible and only then siding with it's debtors.. Since that is the sure way to be THE superpower, is to let all the others beat themselves silly first..

U.S And China are the least of your worries.
Look at all Conflict going on especially in the
middle east Israel And Iran Are most likely
to go to war soon and if it dose theres going
to be a lot of countries involved like Russia
USA and UK being the main ones but theirs
also a lot more countries involved.

I hope not but I fear it may be a forgone conclusion. It's not my fight unless it comes to me. I am trying to stay out of it.

I don't understand how you connect some of the posts you site, and WW-3. I'm all in favor of getting out of Japan completely, or greatly reducing our forces. I also think the same about Europe. Also, we have long had contingency war plans almost anywhere in the world. I would want to know if a potential target is singled out by movement of troops or pre-positioning of equipment/supplies.

I agree, i also think that if there was a WWIII it will be the last. Like someone said once 1 starts winning then it will get interesting, i totally agree. I only hope that sense prevails and we dont take that route. I would like to also ask about this "Yemen STARGATE opening 1 5 2010" is there any truth in it? some mention all weapons made inoperable? I know its off topic a bit but i suppose if there was any truth in it it would be better off opening it now lol. Does it even exist or shall i start a new thread/

I didnt say i was right did i? Your views and opinions matter you know?

In my opinion we are already witnessing a world war, the so called "war on terror" involves countless countries from across the globe fighting the "axis of evil".

Personnaly i would keep an eye on Isreal and Iran as tensions between the two nations are growing daily, especially with Iran gaining speed with their Nuclear program.

Also there is something very fishy going down in Yemen.

I wouldn't be surprised if the bombs start raining down on the shores of Yemen very soon, ask yourself the question, why are so many battle ships floating around the port of Aden? Please don't enlighten me with "for the pirates" because that is a complete washout. Would you really need 10+ battle ships to tackle a few pirates in dingy's!

No. War is NOT imminent. Only FEAR driving the world into a war is imminent.

There is so much fear around and is so thick in the air, you can touch or be touched or scorched by it. Fears of bombs, fear of economic disasters, fear of freedom denied, etc.

Fears are caused by irrational beliefs, and can be remedied by analyzing, rationalizing and finding solutions to allay such fears, not by lies or over confidence, but using real and pragmatic working solutions, for each and every fear present.

Let not the attack on Iraq in 2001 and suchlike happen again. It was caused by irrational fear and mislead info. Precious human lives perished needlessly on both sides.

Let not the financial crisis of 2008 and suchlike happen again. It was caused by fear and loss of confidence in the free market system. Money didnt disappear into thin air, it just went into hiding, with the lack of confidence in circulating hurting everyone.

Let not the SCOTUS decision and suchlike happen again. It was the fear of freedom being denied. That decision is revesible by better legislative action.

It is yours and my responsibility, for the sake of our families, relatives and friends, as well as the next generations to come. War must not happen again, in any form.

WW3 has definitely been on since 9/11.

you dont need physical armies actively engaging other armies around the planet to have a world war. warfare is different in this day and age, with computer hacking, guerilla tactics, proxy wars, sanctions and other nefarious economic practices.

i also wouldnt put too much stock in nostradamus. most of his predictions are worded rather awkward and depending on how you read them could be interpreted many ways.also, the fact that his predictions are applied to events after they occur is also dubious in my eyes. take care when dealing with so called mystics, as there is usually no way to verify their claims. not to mention that the self is willing to believe in the unknown and mysterious over the reality of things because of the alluring nature of it all. who cant resist a good mystery

Not saying WW-3 would be good.

but maybe after WW-3 things would change for the best?

I dont think nuclear attacks would take place because
whoever launches the 1st nuke would be wiped of the map
they know this.

The main threat is n not nuclear but Bio-Warfare, millions
of people could be killed before anyone could take the blame.

WW3 is not coming unless the US starts it.

The changes around the world are as a result of the collapse of the US empire and regional powers flexing due to this.

It doesn't need the US to start a World War.

For example if Israel was to bomb Iran and
kill some of the Russian troops deployed there
that alone could spark of a world war.

As much as you are right, there is also the disparity between us and those who make the decisions.

Those who lead us have spent the last few decades ensuring the voices of nations are smashed into much smaller voices, which can be ignored.

They are in a position where they can do as they will..

The political, economic and militaristic landscape now is similar to that of preWW2.. that in and of itself should scare people into action..

Yet, the media, the spin, the lies and the social engineering that has taken place has harmed society to the point we need to build that voice up again to drive those who lead us..

None of that will happen overnight, and all the while those who lead us do as they please, as they are not beholden to the people.

We could be headed for a massive conflict sooner than one might think.
Watch what is going on in the middle east now. Bush Sr visited Zero at the White House a few days ago and I really doubt it was a slap on the back you are doing a great job kind of visit (HA). The BushDaddy may be Zero's "controller" for the big guys... and he is certainly well connected with the royal families in the region.

Zero is moving ships with anti-missile capabilities to protect from possible strikes from Iran. Who knows what is up, but it is not looking good.

You may call it world war three or just a war waiting to heppen but to know from friends of the military and see the pictures they have taken across seas to show what they are dumping and burning in the trench fires whilst they are off duty patrolling for the day [depleted uranium].

To sicken the third world countries and rise high in medical bills to pay off the rich phameacutical coporate interests you have a business, a war profiteering business where taxpayer's money pays the luxury marble floors and hallways in ambassordor buildings and coporate businesses. Then you have the Taliban drilling holes in the oil pipes taking enough to cause a large spillage for miles to stop american troops passing terriortary. You have the Opium farms in the Middle east which 90% of Herion is dealt overseas to the UK and then you have the Red Dragon Mafia and Triad Mafia working with corruption with the UK armsdealers and drug lords. Oh and the Queen herself owns most of the depleted uranium in sites across the globe as in Canada, Austraulia, and two other large country's which i can't remember off the top of my head. But its just my opinion of articles and information gathered from friends from the military, myself having served and people across the internet as well as contacts in the family.
